Title: You guys think Bill Self will listen when UCONN calls and offers job?

I think he has to at least listen to what they have to say.  Calhoun and UCONN are already openly acknowledging that they are "succession planning."  Rumors put Self on the list of possible replacements.

However, I think Self holds out for the Duke job.  Coach K is 64, and most think he's only around for a few more years.  If I were Self, I'd rather have the Duke job than UCONN.

i think that he has to listen to any offer from a true national power and historic basketball school  :bait:

Why would Self leave Lawrence. They love him over there as long as he finishes better than big brother and Mizzou in the Big 12. No pressure to do squat in the tornament and very unlikely he could run the Massa routine at UConn.

Lot of grumblings behind this. Remember UCONN has huge basketball boosters, they can basically buy whoever they want. Word is Self wants to coach in the Big East so his team can be more prepared for the tourney.

Maybe the NCAA is finally catching up to ol' ku. Lots of coaches know when they need to head for greener pastures.

Also, he is worried that KU will be left out of a major conference when Texas decides to fold the Texas 10.
