Title: Gems of the Game (Chico RIP)
Post by: ChiComCat on February 20, 2010, 09:08:21 PM
This is what happens when an employee calls in sick and I have to do nothing at work all night.  Enjoy

Quote
Lots of empty seats. OU up 10 to 9.

I thought it would be a better crowd today...

SD left the rest of the crowd outside in a pile outside, mostly with bloody crotchfaces

Just saw an ouhoops.com sign, referencing Fatty, hahaha

Quote
B12 not going to let KSU lose this game based on calls at this point of the season.

I don't believe we are this elite yet, but I appreciate that they do

Quote
That's cool to see Clemente out there cleaning the floor.

Make a shirt you racist fracks

Quote
Did you hear what the color man said when Pullen fouled Crocker? He said, "The officials felt Pullen got a little bit of his body." A little bit of his body??? He cut Tony's legs out from under him with a body block that would have made former OU safety Roy Williams proud. What an idiot!

It was a loose ball, and on the replay I'm not sure what the hell Crocker was trying to do other than run into Pullen

Quote
I think we were 0-for our last 10 offensive possessions between turnovers, missed shots and muggings.
:bawl:

Quote
Agreed. I like the way our offense looked in the first half. Hopefully we can repeat the performance, but score a few more points than KSU in the second half.

 :nono:

Quote
Wish these guys would cool off from beyond the arc.

 :D

Man Capel can recruit talent...a TF htting that shot? Capel is the TRUTH!

He is having a phenomenal year....

Quote
These refs are crazy. And I hate denny clemente.

Quote
I am sick and tired of seeing these freaking prayers go in from three. It only happens against OU and nobody else.

If he's talking Dom, it happened to Nubb  :dunno:. If he's talking Pull/Clem, it happens to everyone

Quote
Is it just me or can we not get a call from the refs for anything? WOW they should go to Vegas (K-State) casue they have all the breaks from the refs that anyone could ask for. I thought this game was in Norman but looks like K-State brought their stripes in my opinion.

They are unconscious as well from the three - that last guy hit from about 25 feet.

We did go to Vegas, they said the same thing

Quote
For my bracket, if K-state is a top 4 seed in any region they're a huge upset contender. If these guys are shooting cold away from Manhattan, they're very very beatable.

Top 4 seed  :pbj:

There's only one Big 12 team that I think is really any good right now. Kansas. The rest of the Big 12 is very average to bad. I don't care what rankings say, the quality of play in the Big 12 is really, really weak. Texas A&M might be the 2nd best team right now that tells you how weak the conference is.

Quote
Maybe the dumbest thing I have heard since Fire Bob Stoops.

^ I guess he said it so I don't have to

Quote
KSU looks pretty good to me..ask Capel when you see him

K-s-u! K-s-u! K-s-u!

This is a horrible, horrible take.  Just horrid.  Must be from an OU "football-only" fan.  We've lost 2 games away from home this year.  More importantly, our entire strategy is designed to win even when shooting is cold.  Tough defense + o-boards.  And when our shooting is hot, we blow teams out on the road.

Is K-State beatable when they're not hitting shots?  Yes, but so is anyone.  And K-State's system+makeup is more conducive to winning on the road than all but about 7-8 teams, at most, in the country.

I can see where they might think this if this is the only game they've seen.  Our D was ok and our rebounding was pretty poor.  I jus think the guy doesn't watch much basketball.  I think the same guy was saying that the big 12 was awful later in the thread and only a&m or OSU could make a run other than uk.  Pretty HBBIQ right there
