Title: Coach Cal
Post by: gatoveintisiete on March 26, 2011, 09:52:56 PM
Calipari did a masterful job taking down the buckeyes yesterday, taking their 3-ball away and boiling the game down to Sully v. big white dude was pure coaching genius. I don't know anyone else in the country that can get so much out of freshmen every year, sure he is the best recruiter in the nation, but dude can coach. Would love to see the real uk cut down the nets this year, that or Roy, you know someone that has earned it.

Chum- I know Cal personally, he is a good dude. He does a lot in the Lexington community as well as helping those who have terminal illnesses. Did you know he makes 4 million a year and donates 2 million to cancer research? When they left Memphis he bought all his assistants houses so they wouldn't have two mortgage payments? He has established college trust funds for his assistants children so their college education is taken care of?

For all the KU bashing that goes on around here, I would think most would cheer for the real UK to cut down some more nets. UK is the only program that out everythings KU hands down.
Go UK Cats!!!!

Cal's approach is the exact opposite of Massa Self's. He improves freshmen and hands them over to the league and then goes get more. We all know Self's wide stance on such matters.
