I can't say for sure if he's the best KSU baller of all time, but I can sure as hell make a good argument for it.

Seems very very fishy to me. Nice first post, Squawk (or athletic dept. person trying to sue us).
FTB, please contact mods for essay requirements, preliminary background check for security clearance.
FearTheBeard, your assigned essay will be on the cultural differences between Hawaii and North Carolina, and how you can use your background to improve the discussion on goEMAW.com. It needs to be between 1,225 and 1,275 words (not including footnotes) and should be submitted via PM to Limestone and myself by 3 p.m. (CDT) tomorrow. T-Y, Trim

LOL, chill and relax guys. I went to college at the University of Hawaii and live in Charlotte, NC. I grew up in Leawood, KS and grew up watching the Wildcats. I saw from a google search about Jacob about the weekend and got about 2 minutes into it on my I Phone before the waitress came with my food. The next thing ya know, I tried watching it and it got removed. So I went to Bringonthecats.com where it was posted and just by doing a little detective work, it led me here. I never knew this place existed, and I badly wanted to finish watching the video, so I just kinda followed the thread here hoping a link would pop up. Hence, why I decided to make me a profile on here and, I know it does sound really sketchy and all, but yes, my first post was a request to watch the video. Anyways, the journey continues and it leads me to this; what all does a first day, first time poster, need to do to get the link? I completely understand the situation and why everyone would be so careful about it not getting out to the general public/ copyrights people. Trust me, I feel the same way. I know its not between 1,225 words and 1,275, but its damn worth a try. Thanks!

What do you need to do? You need to earn it, son. And with your post here and the insubordination it implies, you really have just dug yourself an even bigger hole. In addition to your application essay of between 1,225 words and 1,275 words, you must now also accumulate somewhere between 1,225 and 1,275 posts. At that point, we will review your posting history and consider giving you the link.
Same goes for you, dietpepsi. :dubious:

I had trouble finding out who the mod was for the site, but saw next to your message that you are it. If you are serious about the cultural differences between NC and Hawaii; well there are many, very many. The following is my 1260 word essay you requested. Please let me know if there is anything else to this. I'm sorry if I caused drama in the thread, I'm just really interested in finishing the video. Thanks!
--------------------------------------
The first being the racial differences. Hawaii is mostly Asian/Pacific Islander, while North Carolina's is mostly white. English is the main language for both, with the exception that the Hawaiian and many different Asian languages are spoken. North Carolina's equivalent is Spanish. There are many different events/activities with both also.
Hawaii is big into surfing and body boarding, and really anything that has to deal with the Ocean. There are different dances such as fire knife and hula dances which are performed at luas and parties. The beer of choice in Hawaii is by far Heineken, I have no idea why, but I kinda found that interesting. I think that Hawaiians are generally kinda lazy, which if you hang around them for a while you’ll find out why. But, if you like that laid-back lifestyle than its all good. Unlike, many of the brochures you see for Hawaii Vacation, its not all like that. Hawaii is generally pretty poor and stuck in poverty. I think this is due to the high cost of living there. Gas was 5 dollars, Milk was 8 dollars and my little 2 bedroom house was $1800 a month excluding utilities and all. On campus, it’s a little bit different with the whole race thing as many of the students are out of state. The same goes with those in the armed forces stationed on the island. If you know someone from the army, navy, or airforce you can get into the base where the housing and things are. Its kinda like its own community. If forgot exactly what they are called, but theres a place on the bases where you can get your groceries and general living things really cheap on base. So, its worth knowing someone who has the connections. Sports wise the biggest sports are football, volleyball, and surfing. Sports aren’t nearly as big as they are on the mainland. No professional teams, just the college and every year the Pro Bowl. There are hardly any Mexican food restaurants on the island, same with American style home cooking. Kinda disappointed me some, but the different traditional and Asian style food was pretty good. Generally, most Hawaiian are very friendly, kinda have to be that way with so many tourist around. Tourism is the main source of revenue for the Islands. Not sure about how much or what percentage the draw is, but it’s a pretty big industry. I’d say that most of the tourist are Japanese and don’t speak a lick of English, with the rest being Americans. About a 60/40 split. Nightlife in Hawaii is very relaxed, there aren’t many bars or clubs there. The downtown Honolulu is more geared as a family atmosphere with the option of the beach and the many activities that go along with it. Hotels and resorts generally provide the entertainment with Luas being a main custom the many tourists that stay there. For whatever reason, male genitals fighting, although illegal, is a huge draw. Chickens are like squirrels in Hawaii, and there are thousands that free roam. As for living situations, Hawaii doesn’t really have neighborhoods, except on military bases. Houses are just off of streets, which could be like a neighborhood, but in reality are just houses lined up along the streets. There are many apartments in Hawaii. They are high rises like you would find in New York, not very well kept, but cheaper than houses. On the more expensive side there are the super nice houses where the really wealthy and many celebrities live. There are plenty of parks in those areas, and even in the regular areas. The parks are real nice and are generally pristine in their up keep.
North Carolina is pretty much like a typical American state. We are known for the flight, NASCAR, and basketball. I pretty much hate all North Carolina and Duke fans as they are extremely uneducated and obnoxious, same with all the Ohio State transplants. NASCAR is really big in NC, especially around the Charlotte/Mooresville area where most of the teams are located. There are three big races every year, with two being in May, and one in October. Like, I said earlier, basketball is a really big sport in NC, mainly college basketball. The two big teams, UNC and Duke are generally pretty good and your either for one and against the other. Football is somewhat big in NC. We have a NFL team, the Carolina Panthers. As for people. Its seems like most are transplants being from Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York. Banking is the major draw and probably the biggest reason for all the transplants as Charlotte is the second biggest banking city in the country. You have all your typical types of people too. The city dwellers, the suburban families, and the farmers and the people who live out in the middle of nowhere. The big races in North Carolina are White, Hispanics, and Blacks, in that order. Everyday it seems that more and more people are speaking Spanish, and there is a huge push for everyone to learn the language. Food wise, there are plenty. You have your typical mom and pops places where typical American food is served. Fast food is huge also. The really good food is the Mexican food, they are everywhere, carry almost identical menus, and the food quality is generally the same. Asian food is really big too, but not nearly as good as it was in Hawaii. As for living in North Carolina, it actually really great. Reminds me a lot of the Kansas City area. You have your downtown area which is filled with nightlife, shopping, and bars. And you have the high rise apartments in that area. The high rises are a lot nicer than the ones in Hawaii and run about the price of my 2 bedroom house, but you happen to get a lot more for what you pay. The suburban area of Charlotte is littered with neighborhoods. You have some really really nice ones in the south side of Charlotte. Its really convenient in my opinion because you are right on the border with South Carolina where the taxes are much lower on things such as Gas and food. The neighborhoods on the other parts of Charlotte are more middle class. Finally, you have the countryside. There are a million of two lane roads that lead to them. Most of them grow tobacco as that is the main crop in North Carolina. I enjoy the small towns the best though. I’m just that type of guy I guess. The nice thing about North Carolina though is the variety. You have the mountains to the west and the coast to the east. The mountains are great any time of year as hiking is really fun and skiing and snow boarding is really big in the winter time. On the coast of North Carolina are the beaches. They serve pretty much the same purpose as the ones in Hawaii, with the exception of surfing. In South Carolina, is Myrtle beach which is a huge tourist location, but if you prefer to do without the hustle and bustle and would rather just relax, I’d find a nice beach on the outer banks of North Carolina. There you have the small beach town feel and the light houses there are really cool too.
In closing, the North Carolina and Hawaii are very distinct locations culturally, but they both serve the same purpose. It’s just a place to live.

:dubious:
By "finishing" do you mean getting it pulled from YouTube once and for all? :dubious:
I wish they weren't being such douches about the whole copyright thing so we didnt have to go thru all this bullcac.Agreed.
Dax and/or hillwalking, please grade this and let me know if FearTheBeard has earned a "link" from Johnny Wichita:I had trouble finding out who the mod was for the site, but saw next to your message that you are it.
I really need to try and keep up with these threads. :users: I just assumed this was 5 pages of 'grats and atta'boys...then I open the thread and BAM!
Also, feel so blessed to have been able to watch the vid before all the drama. :woot:

The wiki.php.net box was compromised and the attackers were able to collect wiki account credentials. No other machines in the php.net infrastructure appear to have been affected. Our biggest concern is, of course, the integrity of our source code. We did an extensive code audit and looked at every commit since 5.3.5 to make sure that no stolen accounts were used to inject anything malicious. Nothing was found. The compromised machine has been wiped and we are forcing a password change for all svn accounts.
We are still investigating the details of the attack which combined a vulnerability in the Wiki software with a Linux root exploit.
lollers, chill bro, it's nothing personal.
