transferring from la tech. one year of eligibility and could play immediately. figger is good with his brother, john, iirc.
rather have him than some scrub juco or hs for a 5th big. he's an undersized big (a bit small forwardy), but active.
-
Done deal, or just being looked at right now?

seems pretty decent. averaged around 10 and 8, i saw.

pronunciation?????? :runaway:
Also, this basically seals the deal that Wally isn't coming back, right?
-
Meh. Although I guess you can turn around and use that schooly again next year even if he sucks...which he probably would.
-
Done deal, or just being looked at right now?
neither. i'm pushing the possibility.

Should make some calls.

I know its hard to answer this questions without seeing them play on this level yet but why would frank play this guy over the two freshman all things being equal? Just seems like it'd be doing disservice to the kid to bring him in and make him third big off the bench?
-
All things being equal like how hard they work in practice? I would assume Frank play him more than the freshman.

5th year seniors as a whole are generally further along in both physical ability and mental ability than incoming freshmen.
-
Why is he leaving La Tech? Also, what did Myles avg there? And why would he automatically be better than either of the freshman? I mean I know Luis was a bad ass and all but what about this guy makes him more attractive in terms of his game? Did anyone see him play?
-
Did anyone see him play?
i've seen him play. he's a little like singletary from tech, though he doesn't score that easily. and maybe is more active. he's very active. his defense is crap, but la tech as a whole plays crap defense. i'm sure he could learn.
if the staff wants 5 bigs next year, i think this guy would be better than the options i've seen elsewhere. if they're happy with 4, then they shouldn't pursue him. if it wasn't for the figger connection, i wouldn't have posted it.
