...and the main reason why going 32-2 and winning the Big 12, year after year, matters:
16, 9, 12, 10/11.

Wouldn't it just be 16, 9? Pretty sure the 12, 10/11 is the result of right place/right time.
Otherwise, 'grats Beems.

This.
Ohio St and Duke had great regular seasons too, yet they are playing 4/5.
It's all just luck.

Says the guy who tries to diminish KU's accomplishments, hour after hour, day after day, year after year.
:jerk:

great point OregonHawk. the regular season (and more importantly the non conference slate) in college hoops is more important than it is in college football. it is also more enjoyable
-
Who the hell ever said the regular season doesn't matter?

Who the hell ever said the regular season doesn't matter?
Pretty much every K-State fan on here who tried to pretend like losing to Colorado three times was no big deal.

FTR, I considered KU and @ UT to be two of our biggest games of the year.

Yep, win those 3 and we would have sewn up a #1 seed in the Dance :flush:

Yes Ben, there were never any conversations on seeding on this board. :jerk:

If you guys take care of business against Colorado, you're probably a 2-seed in the tournament, playing the same chumps that San Diego St. and Florida were given.

we were seeded 5th. 1 or 2 wins against CU and what we are a 4 seed? bfd. the whole season matters not just 3 games against your rival.

Yeah, the people arguing that KU has a really easy road, although right, are forgetting that they earned it.

I would be a little :ohno: to play VCU. KU does not fair too well against mid majors in the torn a ment. I like watching VCU very entertaining basketball, I haven't watched more than 10 minutes of them due to not having time but liked what I saw.

I think Jay Bilas is a little :ohno: about VCU winning games, too.
-
I would have rather been a 6 seed in our region.
-
he is right, i guess i would've rather beaten colorado than lost to them. stupid on my part to have said otherwise
-
Florida state is a good 10-seed. Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Just sayin'

this is going to be an awesome bump after ku's predictable loss to one of these Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) teams

You earned the match-up vs. VCU. 'Grats Beems.
-
The point still holds true, but again, congrats on a huge win for your program. Team. State. Conference.

but we beat our double digit seed. ZING!

Regular season does matter. But when you get a 1 seed you have expectations to live up to as well. KU made the elite 8 and was last 1 seed in the field. Grats.
But your bracket was an unwrapped Xmas present. There have been a handful of 1 seeds that have had easy routes to the final 4...... just almost all of them ending up getting to the final 4. 2 others off hand that were ridiculously easy were
1) Mich st got to play a 16,9,12,11 in 2001.... and made FF
2)UNLV got to play a 16,8, 12,11 in 1990 .... and made FF
No one was laughing histaricly when 1 seed KU lost to 2 seed Ucla a few years ago. Those 2 teams were very equal and the Bruins D was the big difference on why they were better than Ku
1 losing to an 11
1 losing to a 9
4 losing to an 13
3 losing to a 14
Sorry, but that should be unexceptable for a top 5 program. 4 times in 8 years under BS
Add in the 3 times in a 7 yr span where Ku failed to get beyond the sweet 16 as a 1 seed.... and its clear to see that no team underachieves more (to what their seed is) than KU
