Title: How does K-State have so few national championships?
Post by: OregonSmock on March 13, 2011, 03:39:43 PM
And by so few, I'm talking none.  Why hasn't your little juco on the prairie hayseed of a program been able to overcome the odds at least once?  Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.  Is it the fact that your program and your university are undesirable destinations for anyone with an IQ above room temperature?  Is it the fact that your little juco on the prairie is in the shadow of one of the most elite college basketball programs in the country?  Perhaps K-State prioritizes soil judging over mainstream sports like football and basketball?

Let's get to the bottom of this, 'cat fans.  Thoughts?  Ideas?

I think that most of the elite recruits aren't smart enough to get the elite KSU education that allows them to make more money than KU graduates.

Let's get past the low self esteem defense mechanisms and try to find the answer to this daunting question.  TIA.

You're talking about Football????

Pretty much explains the relationship between KU and K-State football. Honestly, stop getting clowned so easily.

Ben is melting down pretty early this year.  Being exposed as poor losers has stung him and his already fragile ego.

He's been on an absolute rampage since the KC Star article.   That pretty much sent him over the edge, hope we don't see another account cancellation.

I knew it'd hurt him because he is fragile but it did more damage than I thought.

So much for poor people having a quiet dignity.

I think I heard that one season K-State finished ranked #1 despite losing in the Final 4.  It seems like this would actually be better than a Helms NC (more than one guys opinion, and a decision made less than decades after the fact).  This is how they used to decided NC's in football pre-BCS/BCA.

Beemer, thoughts?  How would they handle this at ku?  Banner?  Trophey?  Both?

hmmmm

Will they hang another Banner in Phog Allen if a single reporter thinks KU deserves to be number 1? Methinks this is so.

Are you equating the finding of nuts to winning a national championship?
