John Grice and Natalie Rauth are running for Student Body President tomorrow. This comes from their website:
We stand for: Connecting students to university organizations, developing research and internship opportunities for current students, and investigating tuition structures that allow students to plan for their financial future.
Grice is a member of goEMAW (doom_catz) and is about as emaw as it comes. So let's elect him and stuff.
Go there and vote:

I like to think I am pretty EMAW. Which is why I plan to write in Victor and JHR

What is their stance on the phrase EMAW?

Much to the dismay of friend of goEMAW Beth Mendenhall, Grice is very pro "emaw."

Good enough for me. Whats the website anyway?

Edited the original post to include this.

That platform is incredible. Also, Grice/Rauth did a great job with the sidewalk chalk, which is key.
Post the link in the morning and I'll vote for them.

meh. SGA doesn't have a track record of giving a damn about grad students, so I'm hesitant to give a damn myself. dlew?

Dude. I don't know what SGA does, okay? But the guy's a goEMAW'er. That holds some weight, right?
I think it does.

what is your position on the new denny's in the union? your answer will determine whether i write you into a student senate position or not.

I'D PREFER IHOP, BUT DENNY'S EXPRESS WILL HAVE TO DO.
Write in Dlew for senate. And don't forget about Grice.

The "joke campaign" this year was pretty hilarious. I was fully expecting them to be completely lame, but damn, they did a good job.

WRONG. THE CORRECT ANSWER IS WAFFLE HOUSE.
But I'll write you in for Senate anyway since you provide timely and informative Twitter reports about when RCPD creeps around my apartment complex.

I worked at IHOP, pathetic I know. Would not eat anything but pancakes and omelets.

The election is long since over. The ballots arrr counted and the winner be declared. The Pirates, though winners we were not, need fer it be known that today, "International Speak Like a Pirate Day," could have been the school holiday we had visions of. But alas, we hath not opportunity in bringing the uniquely pirate benefits to the political waters of Kansas State University. Still, we bleed purple, but remain unscathed by ninjas.
Damn those guys were good.

With posts like this, wouldn't we all:
Lee school was the crap. There was no better playground to thrown down and settle a beef than at that school. I dont know if I have fonder memories than the first time I kissed a girl on that hazardous "Big Toy" that everyone always got splinters on or when I fracked some kid up in 4th grade during a game of kickball on the Blacktop when he talked trash on Mrs. Irelands class. Nuff said. :lynchmob:

Pro-Denny's. Mostly just because they will have BOGO grandslams during the first weeks they are open. :dunno:

alright, yeah. just checked out the platforms of both candidates. G&R seem very much EMAW while their competitors seem very shirt tuck. Plus, G&R made a vague promise to "support research" in some collegian article i read somewhere. that means that they vaguely support me, fatty, chingon, and prolific third author pissclams. I will vote for Grice and Rauth, write in dlew for senator and vote for Manhattan City Ordinace 9-1254.c which explicitly states that RCPD can only pull over cars with visible EMAJ or EMAH merchandise displayed.
vote emaw go cats platform for america :kstatriot:

Kate of Nate and Kate fame looks older than my mother.
Also, G&R is miles ahead of the competition and stuff.
-
Student body president, so cute.
-
I don't believe the "Grice is pro-emaw" for one bit. One time I met Ging and him in Aggieville, and Ging and I started talking about goEMAW.com and Grice said, in complete seriousness, "You guys sound like a bunch of nerds." Sorry Grice, but that crap don't fly.
EMAW!!
-
Just voted for Grice/Rauth. Also wrote in Devon Peterson for every other position that I could vote for.
-
VOTED GRICE/RAUTH
:gocho:
-
Nate & Kate does have a nice ring to it. Pretty good tree signs by them, too, and we all know how important tree signs are. :goodbyecruelworld:
-
I almost ran for student body pres one time but I got too busy fratting out.
-
Student body president, so cute.
will look super special on a resume. The morons that take that SGA/IFC/PHC etc crap seriously are/were unbearable. Hope they win tho.
-
Just voted for Grice/Rauth. Also wrote in Devon Peterson for every other position that I could vote for.
Did the same, hopefully he'll win something. Tried to write in Juevol for president, but it wouldn't let me. Something about him being Canadian.
-
Who is BSAC backing? Basically, if you get the BSAC endorsement, you should be gold.
-
I'm so anti-mainstream that I'm voting for Nate and Kate, just to cancel out one of your votes.

Nate and Kate are pretty mainstream due to all the hayseed endorsements and votes from all the cacty sororities. Any real house is backing G&R.

Pro-Denny's, Pro-EMAW, Pro-America. G&R. :kstatriot:

I am jealous of Grice's chinstrap. Damn, that's well maintained.

I blame all you motherfuckers.

John Grice / Natalie Rauth 2113 44.2 %

I HAVE NOT RECEIVED AN IMMEDIATE INCREASE IN FUNDING :dubious:
WHY DID I VOTE :dubious:
-
Jacob Pullen received 7 votes (third place) for Board of Directors of Student Publications.
Rodney McGruder finished fifth with 4 votes.
Congrats to them for great campaigns.
-
I feel kind of bad for Grice and the girl now. I crashed one of his house parties, or one of his friends' and totally brought my own cup for the kegger. He was pretty cool I guess. Oh well. Free beer for me.

well check out this cheap-ass douche.
-
I already paid five bucks for a shitty little cup. I'm not made of money, and I'm not paying 5 bucks for kegged natty light twice.
Back when I was growing up, we called it ingenuity. This is a recession dammit.

Grumblings that the winner's a squawk.

Thanks bro. Next time it's on me! :emawkid:

Damn. There's very few things I gave less of a flying eff about during undergrad than SGA and elections stuff. And I've had two girlfriends really hardcore into SGA, one that was a vice prez.
Good luck to your friends though Dlew. I'm sure we know a lot of the same people. Actually, we've probably almost definitely met at some point. Keep up the good work.
-
Uh yeah, woops, didn't realize it was over. That's how tapped into k-stateo student politics I am. I would have voted for you guys though because people that know your friends sent me way more text messages and facebook stuff than the other candidates. You ran a good campaign, nothing to be ashamed of.

I have to admit, I'm a little "put off" with the way the losing candidate has handled himself here at goEMAW. After all the support the goEMAW community gave the Grice/Rauth campaign, I expected Grice to come on here and express his appreciation to all the people that helped him get as far as he did. Some contributed money, while others worked tirelessly on the "trail" — a journey that almost ended with a trip to the
Oval Office of Student Activities and Services.
In the end, Grice fell just short. Only 600 votes.
But for those of us who invested so much into this campaign — our love, our blood, our sweat, our tears, our prayers — to now have to sit here and absorb this defeat, alone, without at least a few words of inspiration from our "chosen one," well ... it hurts. :frown:

I deeply appreciate all the effort that went into the campaign to bring big issues to the front of conversations between students at K-State as Ms. Rauth and I ran for SBP/VP. Those scrapped knees my friends and even acquaintances gained while writing my name in chalk on the cold, hard sidewalks are life-long reminders of the love and dedication I will never be able to repay. I cannot say enough about how great of an experience running for SBP was and how it shaped my college experience. Thank you, thank you, thank you goEMAW'rs for your dedication, investments, and love shown to myself and Ms. Rauth during our campaign for office. No amount of  :ksu: :drink: :emawkid:  :billdance: :jerk: can equal our appreciation to all of you, our supporters.
