Title: Is goEMAW Responsible For This Recent Non-Sucky Recruiting?
Post by: steve dave on March 07, 2011, 01:21:17 PM
So, fresh off our dead last finish in recruiting rankings we suddenly get a nice DT commit to add to the turd of a class and out of nowhere a nice QB (!) commit for next year's class.  Kind of a weird deal, right?  Maybe not.  You got a kid who needs a scholly or a loser son that needs a job?  Bill doesn't.  You have responsibilities and expectations at work?  Bill doesn't.  Bill has no worries at all and has grown accustomed to doing whatever he wants on his own timeline.  No questions asked.  But then some rumblings/grumblins started to emerge from this website.  Talks of airplane banners, billboards, t-shirts, etc. started to go mainstream.  For the first time in Bill's long, long, long, long life he was being questioned.  Is this site 100% responsible for these recent recruit commitments and, down the line, any and all success the team has?  Maybe.

We are either 100% responsible or 100% not responsible.  I'm leaning towards the former.

If goEMAW had an impact on quality of recruiting, then does that mean we can have an impact on quality of coaching staff??   :woot:

I have told you guys there is a plan in place.  There has been all along.  You are just seeing it reveal itself little by little.

Ease into it.  Next thing you know, Bill will actually think they are his thoughts/ideas/preferences.

If we are successful, it's thanks to us. If we suck, we told you so. I'm going to run with this.

"K-State has always been an interest of mine. LHC Bill Snyder has such history and to me, he's another Tom Osborne," Bender said.

He'll learn soon enough that while Osborne was a good coach, he's half the man that Snyder is. To me, LHC Bill Snyder is on the same plane as John Wooden as far as character and integrity.  Like Wooden, Snyder doesn't just coach athletes, he mentors boys into men. Snyder is in a class far above Osborne.

But the kid's from Lincoln - so his measuring stick is understandably a bit short. :)
WOW!  Looks like OB is somebody's new hero.  :ksu:

Untuck your shirt and slowly step away from the keyboard. No sudden movements or references to how wonderful OBz is.

I suppose history is whatever you want it to be. Wooden is one person's example of character and integrity and another's example of a rigid, cheating bastard.

Bill is a prophet. Wooden was merely a man.

Regardless, only one has a "family" stadium. So there...
