• Jake stepping up to another level
• JHR's emergence
• New offense (cutting down turnovers, getting better shots)
• CK's return and (very) recent wake-up call
• Improved play of Shane, Irving, Doc and Nick
• Frank and staff's coaching
• Were never really that bad having lost to Duke with Irving and to Florida in their home state. Slide looked worse because of suspensions to Jake and CK and front loaded Big 12 schedule.

v. UNLV
@OSU
v. CU
prob could have beaten either ATM or MU, one of them.
who cares? it has made the climb super sweet.
No one wants a piece of the Cats.

Pretty good synopsis there. EVERY KSU Cat deserves a lot of love tonight, but man, CK was AWESOME, played like a B12 1st teamer tonight , great to see him play up to his potential like that.

Well, in our losses early, we had inevitable collapses after getting up 5-7 points on the road. Lately, we've gotten up 5-7 and just kept it there without playing outside of our abilities or getting sped up.

1. Getting rid of dead weight Asprilla and Judge.
1A. Jake being on rough ridin' fire

Still waiting for JamSam to show up for the party.

Still waiting for JamSam to show up for the party.
No kidding, he does seem to be good for a few dumb fouls though after he gets beat.
-
pullen is shooting about 60% from three going back to the ku game. that plus they're defending almost as well as they did in the first half of the uf game without having stretches where they defend like the last 10 minutes of the uf game.

southwell?

southwell?
don't want to give him that much credit. but he could become a really good defender, if he wants to.

ya. made some dumb plays in the first half. i remember screaming to get him out of the game after one of his passes to the opposition. he played a very good second half though.

they seemed like honest young mistakes. He was helping over too far or didn't realize UT has some amazing shooters from distance. I was frustrated that he should have learned some of these lessons, but he has gone miles in his growth and has lots of potential.

agree w/ sys.
Defense is soooooo much better, Pullen is making shots, and we missed ck.

CK is the butter on our bread

I posted this before the game in Lincoln, but the trends have pretty much stayed the same: http://goEMAW.com/blog/?p=721

consistency, in most of those losses we played pretty well for long stretches.

what are you using again to compile your numbers and output creation? I know you said you have used excel in the past for some stuff.

Just excel. Then just doing a screen cap and cleaning it up in photoshop to give a decent looking graphic.

Big 12 record with Wally Judge: 2-5
Big 12 record without Wally Judge: 7-1
We should all just be thankful that that tc was also an fp.

Guy on 610 called Wally a "turd loser" and went on for a while on how evident it was that Wally had a huge negative impact on our team.
I don't buy it. I think there were many things going on before and that it is coincidental.

new offense installed by underwood.
This is the correct answer, our defense has been good enough all year it was our offense that was sputtering and struggling to get our best players shots, Jamar has not found his niche in the new sets though.

Our D has not been good enough all year. It had been very good at times, and horrible at others. Consistency on D as well as the efficiency on O is what is making this all happen. We haven't gone to sleep for a 7min period in the last several games.
-
Its pretty clear from the chart I posted above that its not really either/or, its both. Our defense AND offense were pretty terrible early in Big 12 play, and our defense AND offense have been really good since.

Defending back door cuts
