Could really use a much better outing than the 1st meeting from at least 1 of Sprads, Irvs, or Shane(or Russell  :dunno:). Don't care who it is, just need a 2nd guard to handle the ball, not get beat like a drum defensively, and take advantage of opportunities when they present themselves, because Mizz is going to give you those. 1 of them(maybe more?) will give us enough.

Yes, Spradling struggled and had his worst TO game of the year. I think he'll have a much better game in Manhattan, and it would be nice if one of the guys you mentioned steps up. But to me its about McGruder. He was 0-4 from 3 in Columbia and had a decent rebounding game, but finished with only 4 points. Its highly unlikely that happens again, especially when you consider he's shooting 52% from 3 (!) at the OOD in Big 12 play and he's scored in double figures in 7 of the last 8 games.

I also like Southwell's defense in this game, a longer guy who can stay with MU's guards and bother jump shots. Another thing we didn't have when we played in Columbia.

Finally, it was only Kelly's 2nd game back after his suspension, and his first road game.  And against MU last year at home he had a double double.

Like I said in the other thread, it's all based on how you do against God's team. Missouri won by 6, Kansas State won by 1.
