BITB talking point:  MU and KSU have near identical resumes, why are they a lock and KSU is a bubble team?

I thought he was just BITB being BITB then I did a little research (and I'm not kidding when I say "a little").  Their best wins this year are Vanderbilt, ODU, and Illinois.  Their best conf win is KSU, they only lost to CU once and also lost to OSU.  They actually have a lower RPI and their SOS is way lower.

Not saying their resume isn't better, just not sure what makes it soooo much better.  This Lunardi numbnuts has them as a "lock", and k-state two grades lower at "work left to do" skipping over the "should be in" category.  They're a 6 we're a 9, so not so far off by seed, but I'd rather be "lock" or "should be in barring 3 game meltdown"

I want to be far far away from Wisconsin

Would love to trade places with Utah St. if we are talking 8 or 9 seed. Pitt is the weakest 1 seed fo sho. Also a big fan of drawing a Pac-10 school first round

I hope we play our way out of the 8/9 line. We can be a 7 if we finish well.

The NCAA owes us for the instant classic we provided against Xavier in the Sweet 16 last year

Pitt might be a weak #1, but our bigs would foul out in the first half against that McGee

Pitt's the strongest #1 imo.  Duke is the weakest.

agreed, not sure what dumbass hicks think pitt is the weakest.

right now, imo, the strength of the #1's looks like this:

Pitt
Ohio State
Duke
Texas

Which was complete luck.

There are 8 1st/2nd round location, each with 8 teams. Those locations are dictated by the lower numbered seeds (or higher depending on your terminology). Basically, if we want Tulsa, we need the highest seed in our 1/16th part of the bracket to be close to Tulsa and not get bumped from the location from a seed higher than them.

It makes it more difficult when we know it can't be a Big XII team that gets us pulled into that location.

If UT and ku end up 1 and 2 seeds then there is no way we can be in Tulsa b/c they both would most likely be there (see recent bracketology).  If they both end up 1's or both end up 2's then it could end up like the Omaha seeding...

Yes.

The way I look at it is this; MU is a 6 seed in most projections right now, we are a 6. If we beat them, that should bump us to at least a 7. UT loss won't be killer, win against ISU, then get another good win in KC. Heck, we could play up to a 6 seed. But lose tomorrow and all those thoughts are gone.

Holy crap. You couldnt be more right. I would honestly rather be a 10seed over a 8/9seed, especially in the West...

we aren't staying where we are now.  the game tomorrow plus the game against mu in kc will change that one way or the other.

i wish there was a way to play a&m instead of mu in the tourney.  it seems so unlikely.

would there be anything worse than playing isu back to back and then mu in kc?

i'll go ahead and answer that myself.  no, there would not be.

Same. Took me a long, long time to let go of the dream season and get over the disappointment. Now that I did, I've basically just hopped on the motherfucking K-Stateo choo-choo train and told the conductor "full steam ahead chief, I'm just here to enjoy the scenery. Fear the Beard, etc."
