I punched myself in the face for yelling at you for shooting that first jumper you missed. I said "Never shoot a jumper again, ever." 2 hours later, I punched myself in the face.

Forgive me,

I've had this two-year fantasy where I'm able to give Dom the jump shot of Ski Jones.
But really his release on the threes and at the line looked really nice tonight.

i swear, in pre-game dom just camps out behind the 3 point lane and drains 3 after 3 after 3. i was waiting for something like this, cuz he is c@$h money in pre-game.

he deserved them more than the other 5s on the team.

thought Kelly was getting the FHSU treatment tonight and he wasn't going to get back in.

When he entered the game, we went on the run. Not sure he had anything to do with it. But that's why he was in there later in the game. imo

plus the refs were letting him swat the crap outta the ball.

Kelly brought on the wrath of Frank when he just watched that deep pass go off his hands out of bounds after turning it over just before that, I believe. Sat and didn't come back in until late in the game.

maybe if i'm bored later i'll rewatch jhr's minutes.  my impression while watching the game was that just like in every other game, he didn't do anything better than kelly, and didn't do the more important stuff better than colon.

Kelly's stepping over the line and letting the long pass slip through his hands seemed to have got him benched.
Odd, he started very well.

You know who really sucked tonight? Judge

kelly was playing like a complete dumbass, i think that's why frank put him on the bench for so long.

Looks like JHR finally understands how NOT to foul. Now he just needs to relay that info over to Judge and our inside game changes drastically. He did a good job.

kelly was just off/kind of bad.  JHR gave good minutes in his place.  Colon was borderline Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) tonight, imo.  Nu wasn't even defending the post entry to colon, they were encouraging it, then laughing as they got the rebound.  thank god for dom, pulls, and heat check.  and shazbot! frank for going to that f'ing zone (not that it mattered cause we apparently can't hedge a f'ing screen for a shooter).

^^^^^^^ Worst in the country. Just barely in front of a quality 4A high school team.

Two big free throws from Merriewether = 1 baker's dozen of unused cusswords prematurely prepared by FR.

Judge, Colon, Samuels & Kelly combined for

66 MIN
5 OREB
11 REB
3 AST
2 STL
1 BLK
9 TO

Roberts 12 MIN, 2 REB & 2 BLK and a ridiculous +/-

:dunno:

colon tonight reminded me of how painful it was to watch us "finish" inside last year.

Can we get back to talking about Dom? He gave me plenty of fist pumping moments tonight. I saw him square up for the first three and I was like  and after it went in I was all  :pbj: :pbj:

Great game, I was happy that he scored 20 with those free throws down the stretch.

I normally like Colon's play, but his misses from the paint early in the game established a definite funky tone for the team overall.

garbage stat.
Title: Re: Dear Dom

Hey mich, where can I find a good explanation of RR? Thx bro.

It's the difference between the score when a player is on the court and when he was off.

In JHR's case, the score was 34-13 when he was in the game, and 57-74 when he was off.

So, his pure +/- was +21, but his Roland Rating was +38 because KSU was outscored by 17 when he was off the court.  Granted, it is skewed a bit because he was out for Nubb's ridiculous finish, but you can't deny the fact that the defense got A LOT better when he was in the game.  I mean, 13 points in 12 minutes while he was in?  Please.

Henriquez is going to be a stud in a year or two.  He looks like he's put on some good weight since the season started as well.

He'll be good, but he still looks like bambi.  Haven't noticed the weight gain.
