Such fond memories of Massey, but don't think I can place him in front of Curt.

Edit: I base this on I don't remember him dunking that much, or blocking shots.  I think he just scored a lot because everyone else kinda sucked.

Of those I saw play, four were head and shoulder above the rest, Beaz, Evans, Blackman and Mitch. Could make an argument for about five to 10 players for the fifth spot.
Not surprisingly, those four were or will be longtime NBA players.

Had some cool stories about his connection with Huggins and his trail to Manhattan. Said that he is still very close to Clemente and they are in contact constantly. Said that after we lost to KU Clemente sent him a long e-mail asking him why the guys were slacking off and that Frank needed to get on them.

^ Poster from GPC who said Frank went to his frat house as their guest.

Bill Walker is just as good behind the 3pt line in the NBA as Mitch was.  Look at the stats.

Then let that sink in.

And then remember that even with two shredded knees, Bill Walker can finish at the rim.  Mitch never could.  Ever.

Walker was overshadowed by Beasley.  And he was young.  Younger than Richmond was when he first enrolled at KSU.

Anyone with half a brain knows that college bball peaked in the late 80's/ early 90's.  Before that the players weren't all that skilled, after that all the good players go pro.

Mitch was NBA ROY, a 6 time all star, averaged 21 pts/g for his career, won a gold medal in 1996, and had his #2 retired by Sacremento.  Billy Walker used to be able to jump high.  (Before he ever played at KSU.)  :ck:

Bill Walker is 23 years and 4 months old.  He has scored 595 points in the NBA.  He is currently standing at 41% from 3pt range in his NBA career.

When Mitch Richmond was 23 years and 4 months old he had scored exactly 0 points in the NBA.

But no, I don't think Bill can match Mitch's career.  He already has two shredded knees.  But if you want to argue about who is (was) more physically gifted and who I would rather have on my mythical KSU team, bring it.

FWIW, Mike Beasley is 22 years and 1 month old.  He has already scored 3,213 points in the NBA.  He does not have shredded knees.

He was right.
