They drop this stuff in your eyes to make your pupils turn huge so they can see in them better. Then, your eyes are SUPER sensitive to light for 1-2 hours. So me driving home with bright reflecting snow all over today was extremely difficult.

hint:  close your eyes until they are just a tiny slit and then you will have no problems.  Anyone else have any life problems you want proffesor dave to solve?

Do you do counseling as well? I have been working on my own SSH implementation for a while but it is just too time consuming so I think I am going to quit. Should I quit?

My eye doctor is way too enthusiastic about being an eye doctor.

that reminds me of my favorite and best eye doctor joke-

a guy walks into his eye doctor's office and sits down.  the eye doctor walks into the room and says, "what's the problem today that you need help with?", the patient begins to reply to the doctor- "well doc, my eyes have been giving me a lot of problems recently, so I" then his eye doctor abruptly cuts him off mid-sentence and screams "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT, I'M BLIND!"

  love that joke so much.

crap, I did this last time, and they didn't tell me about it beforehand.   They gave me those dispoisable shades, and I put on a pair of tinted safety glasses on top and still had to squint.   It was a very bright day at lunchtime, and I had a meeting right after.

have my first ever eye doctor appointment today.  what are they going to do?  I assume this thing that will require intensive squinting.  how many needles will they poke directly into my eyeballs?  more than a million?  do you think there's a chance they can go directly to giving me eye surgery if needed so I'm not stuck wearing glasses or contacts or whatever?  I see pretty well but not as good as I used to.  I pass the eye exam at the driver's license place and junk.

I wouldn't go.  The doctor gets right in your face and stays there half the visit.  If he doesn't take immaculate care of himself, it will be disgusting.

Also, it's kinda like dentist for your eyes...drilling, etc.

If you have to wear glasses I'm not sure we can be friends anymore.  Lucas
