How in the hell could we be in at this point? If they were making selections today, our inclusion is an insult to at least 10 other squads that would not make the cut.
OR, maybe the fact that we would be in is a good piece of evidence that too many teams get in the big dance. I still say we sneak in somehow, someway by the end of the season, but as of today no effing way we deserve it.

The inertia of saving face more than anything else? :dunno:

They still have faith.

Yeah you're going to have to qualify that statement. I won't even ask for 10 since that was clear hyperbole. List 6 teams left out of this projection that clearly have a better argument that K-State. This is a different year, there is an 8 loss team in the top 25 in January. Funny that in a year the tourney gets expanded the at large pool is the worst ever.
Warm up your tournament contraction columns.
-
we don't deserve to be in. just saw where we are 0-6 against the top 50.
terrible. just terrible. :facepalm:

A lot of the last teams in are teams that have "the best losses" with a few good wins. We pretty much fit that profile. What these guys are assuming is that we have a lot of "games we should win" left and that we will win a lot of those games. I'm not surprised that many still have us in.
-
You think Pullen is following these as closely as last year? :cry: (ftp://:cry:)

maybe we can get him to do a mid or low major conference breakdown in this years bubble watch thread; the MAC might be a good fit for him.
-
No way we make it.
-
apparently no one in the national media wants to admit how badly they wiffed on us.

Isn't the point of doing these not to make assumptions about how teams will fare the rest of the season, instead select the field based on current resume?

You've got a point looking at the last 8 squads he has out...weak field.
Would love to get another game versus Jimmer and the Mormons. We may not score more than 55 points, but I'd like to see Jake guard him again.
Sadly, this team may get in the tourney and Huggs' 10-6 squad didn't make it.

There is something kind of cool and yet kind of terrible about possibly being one of the first 4 teams in the at-large play-in games.

I'm for it. Better chance of getting an NCAA win.

I'd take that bracket. UNC sucks.

Pullen dominated Jimmer in the Sweet 16 ... Jimmer got all of his points at the end off free throws when the game was out of hand

Lot of dumbasses in this thread.
Q@tz resume right now from BOTC:
RPI = 38
SOS = 10
Signature Wins (RPI 1-30) = none
Quality Wins (RPI 31-100) = James Madison, Virginia Tech, Gonzaga, Washington State, Baylor, Nebraska
Bad Losses (RPI 101 or greater) = none
#38 RPI with no bad losses is a tournament team as of right now. Win 5 more they will probably be favored in (@CU, ISU, @ISU, @NU, OU) and the khatz are probably in without much worrying.
Of course, lose to ISU or OU without beating either KU or UT and the dream is probably over.

This will almost certainly happen.

In a league that drastically favors the home team I don't see how we can expect to win 3 of 4 of our remaining roadies
