Title: Texas
Post by: gatoveintisiete on January 29, 2011, 11:26:39 PM
The horns are really doing a nice job, considering how young they are.  There are some similarities with last years cats, solid ball handling from the guards, they play great d and do a good job of only giving you one shot per trip.  I think they will represent our conference well as champions. :driving:

Good thing we have at least that one guaranteed win.

It means each player has their own individual coach.

I cant believe Tech and TCU were picked to finish behind Texas. the horns just added 2 walk ons.. one averaged like 6 pts, 4 rebounds in 5A texas high school 3 years ago, and the other was a practice dummy with the womens team.

No returning players avgd more than 6 pts a game from last year. If they win more then 9 games total, itll be a success...but I have my doubts, rick couldn't do crap when he had a lick of talent, now hes really not going to do crap.

theyre going to be historically bad.

You need to research the family backgrounds of the walk-ons (I haven't), but they may shed some light on why they were invited to walk-on.

For example, ku historically has walk-ons who are terrible at basketball for the most part, but the majority of the time they come from wealthy families, or were spawn of the coach(es).

theyre walk ons because they graduated like 2 players, and a whole bunch of others transferred. It isn't to improve the culture, its to fill out the damn roster haha.
