95 is my favorite player from now on.
-
I think 95 was the only person involved with this team that cared tonight.

sucks when we have to cheer for the guy that plays his heart out. 5 heart superstar 95. What a difference a year makes.

I like his intensity. His legs are ridiculously long for his body.
-
He just wants everyone to get the hell out of the way while he takes the ball to the hole.

Rod did too. But yeah - 95 is effing amazing.

He is seriously, like, get the F out of my way I am going to the hoop. And the crazy thing is that he gets there every time. Not that he gets a great shot off every time but it gets to the rim. And, the way we shoot the ball, that may be our best option.

LOVE 95
HATE ALL KSU FANS

When we don't make wide open 3's, it's definitely our best option. Start 95 over Southwell next game, give him 20 minutes and just see what he does. We've given every other player on our 20 deep a chance give him one.

Undy's offense spreads the floor, 95 fits it well.
And yeah, 95 definitely earned minutes in future games by his play tonight. Nice to see a guard that can take someone off the dribble.

Is it true that 95 didn't play in the 2nd half after playing well in the 1st half?

Yes, but he should've played more than 6 minutes (total). Play him 10 a game. (minimum)

yeah, i know. just taking a shot at undy is all.. the slth move of switching to his offense mid-season is giving me visions of yesteryear.
i don't want to go back. i loved being elite. wooly pt. 2 is the KITN that might keep me down on the floor.

Did you guys see Sprad's two running floaters? Dreamy. :notuck:
Will, Rodney, and 95 cared the entire second half. Jake cared between 4:00 left and 2:00 left when he shot a few threes.
The Morris twins cared a lot.
-
Is he really that bad at practicing and defense?
Would love to see 15 minutes out of him next game.

He didn't join the team until nearly November. His last competitive basketball was in JUCO in spring of 2008. I'm not surprised its taken some time.

I honestly was too frustrated to watch his D tonight. Did he play alright? Is it too much of a pipe dream to expect Frank to stop being Frank and give him substantial minutes?

he played in the 2nd half
yes, but not until there was like 4 minutes left. after his first half he should have started the second half. he makes some mistakes on defense but frank is being Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) about him. southwell makes the same defensive mistakes but currently doesnt bring the aggressiveness of 95. imo, 95 should be a starter at this point b/c at least he appears to give a crap.

should clarify this by saying that 95 is not THE answer to our problem. but he is good even if he does give up a couple of easy points here and there. also he is fun to watch.

Love 95. Absolutely love the guy. DID YOU SEE THAT FREAKIN DRIVE TO THE HOOP!!!!!!!! AND THE FINISH?!.
-
wish we had 95 for more than just one more year. :frown:

I think OK_Cat just jumped the squawk.

Here's the deal about 95; I love the crap out of him as I've said many times on here, but he's never going to get the minutes he deserves until Frank realizes that he can't mindfuck this team into being good. College basketball is 90% about finding the best players you can and throwing them into the best system you can come up with.
Now, I think Frank's a smart guy and has already adjusted his line of thinking here a little bit, but I also think he's worried that if he puts 95 on the floor for major minutes when he's only been here since November, all his talk about paying your dues and practicing hard to earn minutes is going to look like a bunch of talk. I honestly think that's the main issue here, but at this point, we just need to win some rough ridin' games. I hope and pray that Frank is slowly adjusting his philosophy.
-
95 has to play more. Has to. He is our second best guard off the bench, and I'm not sure he isn't better than Shane and Sprads. At least he gives us an offensive option other than spot up threes (that we miss) and fadeaways in the post.

he can't be worse than JHR or Wally who we seem to leave out there to get destroyed for long stretches.

True, but it's not like there are lots of options in the post. One of those guys has to get some minutes, Kelly and Samuels aren't going to play 40 minutes each. Granted, you may not like the other options, but there are many more options to play at the guard spots.
That said, I want to see 95 at least 10 mpg from here on out. He just gives us an option on the perimeter that most of our other guards don't.
