Or am I the dumb one for watching?
:dunno:

seems to fit with the dumbest fanbase

dax has been saying this for a while now.

There are lots of dumb teams, we are just one of them.

But are we the dumbest major confy team? I'd really like to know this. I'd love to have some sort of BBIQ metric that we could throw around and incorporate into like Kenpom or whatever

First I'd look at TO%, and yeah, we are one of the worst high major teams out there. Then I'd look at A/FGM, and we are above average. Baylor is actually worse than us in TO%, but like us they make a lot of dumb mistakes.
-
I think it's pretty obvious that Baylor is dumber.

TO% is pretty close IMO

i hate fans that call players stupid. an inability to make a play does not indicate an inability to recognize the right play to make.

Nobody thinks that, shut the eff up jackass.

Your going to get it.

An inability to make a play =/= consistently forcing things that you shouldn't. Or driving right into the lane with three men ready to collapse on you three different times. Or making the same damn mental errors that you have been making all season.

I really like it when Pullen tries to split defenders and just kind of throws the ball out ahead 3-4 feet off the dribble and tries to go through the double team/screen/teammate to get it. Its almost an attempted bounce pass to himself.

love that split the hedge play when it works. looks so good.

Yeah, me too. But when it doesn't. Oh boy.

Yeah...what really makes that play great is that he does it like four times a game, every game, regardless of the in-game situation.

Agree 100%. The ugly stretch to end the first half wasn't really dumb, it was just a failure to make plays.

I think this is like 1A on my list of things that anger me up about Jacob Pullen this year.

dumb is when you repeatedly keep doing things you think you can do but really you can't. we do that a lot.

wut
The high TO% is the sign of a dumb coaching staff, not a dumb team. It isn't the players fault the coaches forgot that a point guard is essential to good basketball.
-
The JHR over the back up like 7 with like 4 minutes left was one of the dumbest things I've ever seen a bball player do.

According to Sigmund Freud, projection is a psychological defense mechanism whereby one "projects" one's own undesirable thoughts, motivations, desires, and feelings onto someone else

Kelly/JO are often very stupid basketball players. At least Kelly can sometimes offset it with good offense and even good defense at times.
-
JO's handcheck D at the at mid-court is hilariously awesome.

Love it when JO "locks em down" 6 feet from the 3 point line.
