Aunque yo no sea boricua soy uno de los muchachos de pilin y puedo garantizar lo importante que ha sido pilin para nuestras vidas y futuros. Siempre ha esta hay cuando lo necesito incondicionalmente y sin pedir nada a cambio. Puerto rico deberia estar muy agredecio por lo q Pilin a hecho por sus jugadores.

I got it:

"Freddy Asprilla-

Although I am not Puerto Rican I am one of the boys of pilin and I can guarantee it has been pilin important for our lives and futures. It has always there when I need it this unconditionally and without asking anything in return. Puerto Rico should be very agredecio at q Pilin has done for his players."

You're welcome

This is all you need to know:

Quote
Denis Clemente (Marousi BC, Greece): Pilin helped me in pursuing a career as a basketball player and to eff my college diploma.  In truth it was no where right now if I had not given Pilin that opportunity. From childhood I liked to be hesitating  with the boys and I picked up no nothing seriously. Always ask for your opinion in the decisions to be taken to make the best, as  take when I came to the Tropics.

the article gives a little history re. alavarez and how he became involved with pr bball.  then kinda makes a weird turn and talks about how there have been accusations that he cheats, extorts money, etc.  most of the rest of the article is then his ex players and their parents denying the allegations and explaining that alvarez is a saint.  at the end the article shifts back and talks a little about pitino and about some of the younger players now coming up with the tropics.

it's also written kinda funny.  almost like it was written in english and translated to spanish.

Yeah, I ran it through google translator and wondered if that was accurate.

_FANw, my household's Spanish expert, wasn't around to translate.

i thought trey added that himself.  that's hilarious that google translator goes coger = eff.  it's regional.  means eff some places, means get/take/grab some places.  people everywhere know both meanings, but there's very little overlap in usage.

i'm from the eff school, myself.  mexicanos, al grito de guerra.

_FANw went with the get/take/grab version.

Yeah. Reads like it was written by a second-generation speaker that's technically fluent in Spanish but thinks in English.
