oscar Pearl? They guy who will probably be fired for ncaa violations? Is that really the guy you want taking over? No doubt he's a good coach but kind of risky I would say.

Pearl is Bill Self with real hair.
LOL@thinking any program would want Frank after seeing his offensive "gameplan" get exposed this season.
but he has an entourage that would travel with him.
I'm sure Hill would be your next head coach with all that money you have invested in him.

oscar Pearl, Kelvin Sampson, and BCG are all excellent candidates.
Is there any chance we could pull Anthony Grant from Alabama? It would be weird getting a coach who is currently employed at another BCS school, and I think it would feel amazing.

If OU fires Capel, I wouldn't mind him, either.

We had some old Cincy fans who showed up at ksf because they were huggins groupies. Seemed a little weird to me.

and no National Championship
If Frank leaves, it's a great excuse for why this season went downhill and might continue going downhill. The problem with hiring a cheater (oscar Pearl, Kelvin Sampson, etc) is that k-state sucks at cheating, plus our athletic department seems to have a quick trigger on itself. Huggins wasn't a cheater ;) just an alcoholic that got caught driving. :fatty: I would agree with a oscar Pearl hire however, think Billy Gillespie would be a better fit. At least he would be able to coach kids to run a halfcourt set on a bad 1-3-1 zone.BG would be a homerun.

LOL at thinking anyone counts that dirty 2008* win.
You're thinking of the team KU beat to win the Championship, Memphis. I know basketball is new to you people but try to learn a little something before you say stupid things.

But Billy worked under Self who you all hate so why would you want that?
Martin isn't going anywhere, he just put in a $300,000 pool. Who would do that and then leave? :ksu:

Arthur was as inelgible as Rose or any other Memphis player.
But it is a great idea to eff up the quote function as you tell people to "learn a little something"
When was Arthur ineligible? Not according to kstate fans, but truly ineligible.
oh I see, my mistake. :jerk:

When he sucked at math and didn't pass it.
He was ineligible, but he was never ruled ineligible because doing so would mean the NCAA had to admit they made a glaring error and would have to void a national title.
I have no respect for any KU fan who doesn't admit otherwise.

I don't understand how they don't embrace this. I would brag may ass off about this.

Ditto. "LOL, NCAA can't catch us at anything. We are freaking John Dillinger!"

He was approached by officials from Kansas to discuss their athletic director opening several weeks ago, turning down those overtures.

Seems awfully polite for the GTFOOMF he likely gave them.
Watching Miami play Missouri State in the NIT right now. Can't be more than 5,000 fans there, arena is half empty. I don't see Frank wanting to make a move to a place where no one gives a crap.

No he won't. No one can.
I've spent a lot of time in Miami. If they are going to pay attention to a basketball team, it will be the Heat. Miami is a pro sports town. Like Boston.
If Frank goes to the U, it's because he wants to go home. He can get his Miami players anywhere. In a few years, we'll be able to pay him more than they will be willing to. He'll have better facilities and an established program here.
KSU is a better job than Miami. If is goes there, it's for personal reasons. It won't be a professional move.
I agree with 95% of Pan's post. The one advantage the U may have professionally is it would be easier to close on top tier recruit, especially those in Florida.

Frank would get his Florida players from Art and Shakey if he coaches in Manhattan, Miami, or Kalamazoo. The location is irrelevant.
If Miami was such a draw, that place would be crawling with elite talent. It's not. It never has. They won't invest in basketball like most other schools. It's a football factory. Frank will get the same three stars there that he gets here because he'll get them from the same connections he gets them from today. He'll just have less in terms of facilities and fan support to draw them.
did everyone see pastrana's tweet about how khyle marshall wanted to come to kstate? i guess we aren't exactly short on big wings, but still kinda sad viz a viz canada & potential new 2011 incoming spring recruits.
Didn't some people on this site, not want him? or am i imagining things?
Frank should totally leave so you guys can lure Doc from Nebraska... Think how EPIC that would be... Doc Squats + EMAW= Match made in heaven!!!
