If Frank leaves, it's a great excuse for why this season went downhill and might continue going downhill.  The problem with hiring a cheater (oscar Pearl, Kelvin Sampson, etc) is that k-state sucks at cheating, plus our athletic department seems to have a quick trigger on itself.  Huggins wasn't a cheater ;) just an alcoholic that got caught driving.  :fatty: I would agree with a oscar Pearl hire however, think Billy Gillespie would be a better fit.  At least he would be able to coach kids to run a halfcourt set on a bad 1-3-1 zone.

When he sucked at math and didn't pass it.

He was ineligible, but he was never ruled ineligible because doing so would mean the NCAA had to admit they made a glaring error and would have to void a national title.

I have no respect for any KU fan who doesn't admit otherwise.

When was Arthur ineligible? Not according to kstate fans, but truly ineligible.

When he sucked at math and didn't pass it.

He was ineligible, but he was never ruled ineligible because doing so would mean the NCAA had to admit they made a glaring error and would have to void a national title.

I have no respect for any KU fan who doesn't admit otherwise.

I don't understand how they don't embrace this.  I would brag may ass off about this.

Ditto.  "LOL, NCAA can't catch us at anything.  We are freaking John Dillinger!"

I would go more to "We are too big for the NCAA to do anything."  and maybe follow with "What are they gonna do?  WE ARE COLLEGE BASKETBALL.  Without us, they are nothing."

Would feel great, I imagine.

He was approached by officials from Kansas to discuss their athletic director opening several weeks ago, turning down those overtures.

Seems awfully polite for the GTFOOMF he likely gave them.

Watching Miami play Missouri State in the NIT right now.  Can't be more than 5,000 fans there, arena is half empty.  I don't see Frank wanting to make a move to a place where no one gives a crap.

No he won't.  No one can.

I've spent a lot of time in Miami.  If they are going to pay attention to a basketball team, it will be the Heat.  Miami is a pro sports town.  Like Boston.

If Frank goes to the U, it's because he wants to go home.  He can get his Miami players anywhere.  In a few years, we'll be able to pay him more than they will be willing to.  He'll have better facilities and an established program here.

KSU is a better job than Miami.   If is goes there, it's for personal reasons.  It won't be a professional move.

I agree with 95% of Pan's post.  The one advantage the U may have professionally is it would be easier to close on top tier recruit, especially those in Florida.

Frank would get his Florida players from Art and Shakey if he coaches in Manhattan, Miami, or Kalamazoo.  The location is irrelevant.

If Miami was such a draw, that place would be crawling with elite talent.  It's not.  It never has.  They won't invest in basketball like most other schools.  It's a football factory.  Frank will get the same three stars there that he gets here because he'll get them from the same connections he gets them from today.  He'll just have less in terms of facilities and fan support to draw them.

This is all true, but you can add in the fact that they don't invest in football either.
