Title: Top 25 Big 12 players
Post by: kso_FAN on January 19, 2011, 12:56:12 PM
From Tully: http://cjonline.com/blog-post/tully-corcoran/2011-01-19/top-25-big-12-ballers-january-ed

You could say he is being kind to the Cats.  If you have 4 of the Top 25 players in the league, you should be a better team.  Baylor could say the same.  I suppose that's what underachieving teams do.  And CU showing what having 2 of the top 6 can do.

Rank (previous rank). Player, school

1 (1-1). LaceDarius Dunn, Baylor

2 (2-3). Marcus Morris, Kansas

3  (4-6). Alec Burks, Colorado

4 (5-8). Jordan Hamilton, Texas

5 (12-NR). Marcus Denmon, Missouri

6 (6-4). Cory Higgins, Colorado

7 (10-12). Markieff Morris, Kansas

8 (3-2). Jacob Pullen, Kansas State

9 (17-NR). Diante Garrett, Iowa State

10 (11-24). Rodney McGruder, Kansas State

11 (19-NR). Perry Jones III, Baylor

12 (8-16). Quincy Acy, Baylor

13 (20-25). Laurence Bowers, Missouri

14 (NR-NR) Josh Selby, Kansas

15 (13-19). Marshall Moses, Oklahoma State

16 (24-NR). Khris Middleton, Texas A&M

17 (21-NR). Tristan Thompson, Texas

18 (NR-NR). Andrew Fitzgerald, Oklahoma

19 (7-5). Curtis Kelly, Kansas State

20 (9-7). Tyshawn Taylor, Kansas

21 (15-9). David Loubeau, Texas A&M

22 (22-NR). Thomas Robinson, Kansas

23 (NR-NR) Jean-Paul Olukemi, Oklahoma State

24 (14-NR). Ricardo Ratliffe, Missouri

25 (16-10) Jamar Samuels, Kansas State

Dropped out: Kim English, Missouri (18), John Roberson, Texas Tech (23), Cade Davis, Oklahoma (25).

Kinda tough to believe Middleton isn't even in the Top 10, considering his solid #'s(roughly 16 pts, 5 boards, 3 asts, 50% FG), his team's 16-1 start and his heroics against Mizzou this past weekend.

Guess he'll have a pretty big stage to prove it tonight.

I hate to say it, but Kim English should be ahead of Jamar.

Perry Jones 11th in the Big 12, but a top 3 selection in most mock NBA 2011 drafts.

Jamar is only a top 25 player every other game.

Dunn is not the best player in the Big 12. Not even close imo.

Jamar is only a top 25 player every other game.

He is only top 25 against horrifyingly bad competition who are also entirely composed of 5'6" white guys. But when that happens, LOOK OUT!  :horrorsurprise: :goodbyecruelworld:

So, maybe we should have pushed for joining the Missouri Valley? Then at least Frank could own that traitor Jank...
