He won't get a chance to play well again because he'll get benched before the next game.

Played really aggressive when Jamar decided he had done enough for the day in the first half and when Curtis decided he was just going turn it over every time he touched it.

Decisive and economical with his offensive moves.

Asprilla (the guy kougs ran out of town) was clearly a drain on JHR. Now JHR is free to shine.

This probably doesn't deserve its own thread, but JHR was the player of the game tonight. Truly did a very, very nice job. Never thought I'd be saying that after everything that's preceded this. I'm sure next game he'll suck atrociously as usual, but it felt good to say this while it lasted. Thx for the memories, big guy.

free throws! and 1's! assists! layups! dunks! he did it all.............but missouri doesn't really have any inside presence, still good to know that he's capable of it.

No, it doesn't. You could have just used the other one.

reminded me of Colon's game in Allen his jr yr? He had like 8 and 8 and was the only big that did not totally puss out.  Frank left him in until he fouled out.

after the game the hawk fans were all "OMG Frank sucks, why did he leave your best post player in with 4 fouls?" in one of those games in allen where ku let us hang around but we were never really in

An Astute observer of K-State basketball like me notes that JHR was not bunnying the ball up there, he attacked the basket . . . if he wants to continue to use his size and attacking the basket then by all means let the youngster play, he was 8 times the player CK was tonight and if it continues great.

BTW . . . eff all you CK lovers.

I agree...he sucks mooseknuckle but seeing that he was capable of doing something was pretty refreshing imo considering all the suck we laid on the court tonight

JHR's performance, coupled with the improvement Southwell has started to show, gives me hope that we might not be complete crap next season.

Before this season started looking like a repeat of 08-09, I was expecting next season to be a repeat of 08-09.  Could still be I suppose.

Don't worry, we'll suck next season.  If they keep playing better they'll transfer.

I don't consider a top 4 finish in the Big 12 complete crap, fwiw. A repeat of 08-09 next year would not be bad.

True, but we have a ways to go to repeat 08-09 this year.  I suppose an equivalent record in the current Big 12 for this team would be about 8-8, but that won't lead to a Top 4 finish.  Teams like OSU and aTm will get benefits similar to us this year by having 4 games with Tech and OU.

JHR, despite the fact that most of the time I hate him turned in the best performance any K-State big man has given all season (and now I don't count JaSam as a "big man") . . . if he wants to continue playing like that, then by all means let him.   Curtis is playing like CAC, somebody has to step up.

Curtis Kelly . . . 6 Turnovers . . .  :ck:

it's okay to hate a player even though he has a good performance.  they're called anomalies.   this applies to white point guards at ksu too.

This wasn't just a good performance. It was the best individual performance by any big this season. JHR was just dominant.

Is it okay if I love a player after a great performance, and then resume hating them only after they start sucking again?

Hate or love who you want, you don't need our rough ridin' permission.

I wasn't looking for an answer to that question.
