Kansas State Football / What do Aggies smell like?

How can they capture the subtle scents of racism, cultism, jizz jars, penis envy and mediocrity in a single bottle?

Hey guys, Shacks here.  I just got a new job as a water tester and I'm paid based on how many water tests I do.  The company provides me with appointments, but many of them are in Topeka or other places that kill me on gas.  I get some in/around Manhattan, but not enough.  That's where my friends on goEMAW can help.  If you can set up a time for me to come to your house and test your water so you can see just how gross it is and what can be done to improve it, I'd be really grateful.  The test is completely free - no strings attached, no purchase necessary.  You won't be added to any telemarketing or mailing lists.

Now, you might be thinking "What's in it for me?"  If the good feeling of helping someone isn't enough, I can offer rewards to the first two people who set up appointments with me.  I have two vouchers.  One is good for a free three day/two night stay at one of many vacation destinations (hotel only, use your credit card miles to pay for the plane tickets).  It is valid at many domestic and a few international places (resort parts of Mexico, Dominican Republic).  The other voucher is good for a lot of grocery discounts.

I'm trying to save up enough to afford tuition at the Kansas State University next semester.  I already have more student debt than I want so I really want to avoid more loans and my family makes just enough to put us over the threshold for guvment aid without making enough to help pay for school.

Only requirements are that you own your home and you live in Manhattan or Junction City or one of the small towns near Manhattan.  PM me if you have any questions or if you want to take a quick weekend getaway trip courtesy of Shacks.

Opinion on this?  I'd say I'm slightly left of center, and I think this a good idea...but only if it can apply to every state, not just states that Republicans want to cherrypick.  Can't whine about blue states giving all of their electoral votes to a Democratic candidate and want to change that without giving Democrats an opportunity to gain some electoral votes from states that always vote red.  Not sure how the math adds up and if Obama would have still won the last election had every state been using this system, but he did have five million more votes than Romney overall.

I do find it interesting that after the last election, Republicans seem to have decided that their biggest problem was the system, not their candidates and platform.

Kansas State Football / Another weekend, another Super Bowl

(sorry if Luked)

AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State Athletics Department has sold all of its tickets (56,800) for Saturday's football game between the 25th-ranked Cyclones and Kansas State.

Iowa State officials announced today that no more reserved or hillside tickets are available for the highly anticipated game between Big 12 rivals.

"We look forward to having the largest home crowd in Iowa State football history," Director of Athletics Jamie Pollard said. "It will be a tremendous home field advantage for the Cyclones."

Fans, who have already secured their tickets, are encouraged to arrive early for the 11 a.m. kickoff.

The Cyclones have drawn crowds of better than 54,000 for all three of its home games this fall. Iowa State currently ranks 34th nationally in attendance among Division 1 schools.

Kansas State Football / FB Welcome Home Party at Vanier
« on: September 24, 2012, 08:52:38 PM »
This video was shot at around 1:45-2 AM in front of Vanier after the Wild Wild Wildcats returned home from Normanistan.  I'm not going to identify myself, but I appear several times in this clip .  I did PI the jackass with the YOLO hat.  I drunkenly slurred at him "If you want to dress like a douche, dress like a purple douche."  He gave me a dirty look but didn't have the balls to respond. :emawkid: :lynchmob:

PigAggie defensive coordinator Willy Robinson has resigned.  Rumors are that after seeing the late date of the Cotton Bowl (January 6th), he knew there was absolutely no way to survive the extra-intense scheming LHC Bill Snyder will have with even more extra time to prepare. This is the third PigAggie coach to leave their job after their matchup with Kansas State was announced (OC Garrick McGee took the head coach job at UAB, ST coordinator John L. Smith was named head coach at Weber State).  Will Bobby Petrino "resign" once he sees more EMAW gamefilm?

Your school color may be red, but your coaches are yellow, PigAggies.

With Missouri bailing on the Big 12 and KU too butthurt to play them as an out of conference game, will the Dillons clash trade places on the calendar with Farmageddon?  I'm not sure which game I would rather have to end the regular season, present arguments for your choice.

I'm having a hard time deciding who got outschemed the most by LHC Bill Snyder.  There are really good cases to be made for each of those coaches.

Miami - We came out passing to start the game and that scheme really threw off their coaching staff
Baylor - Schemed our way back from a nine point 4th quarter deficit
Missouri - http://cdn0.sbnation.com/fan_shot_images/220112/Snyder-Pinkel.gif
Tech - Second half schemes jumpstarted our offense and held theirs to six points over the final 30 minutes

Kansas State Football / Attention Students Attending The Missouri Game
« on: October 07, 2011, 01:05:55 AM »
I am in need of other students to attend Saturday's game with as the guys I normally go with can't make it for a variety of reasons (queers :jerk:).  Must be GA because that's what I have.  I can offer a case of beer and a beer pong table to bring to the tailgate.  I'm also really knowledgeable about football (played in high school and at a small school I went to before transferring to K-State) so you don't have to worry about me asking you dumbass questions during the game or doing stupid stuff like screaming when we are on offense.  I don't leave early and I'm loud (couldn't talk properly until Tuesday after the Baylor game).  I don't want to have to go by myself but goddammit I will if I have to, I'll be damned if I'm missing the Cats play :kstatriot:

For any smart asses who feel like calling me a loner, this is my first semester at K-State and most of my classes are 500 level so they're small and people don't talk much.  I'm also not from Kansas, another reason I don't know a lot of people in Manhattan.  So please students, help out a fellow Wildcat and in return you get beer and use of a beer pong table :drink:

Kansas State Football / Question about our mascot, Willie the Wildcat
« on: October 04, 2011, 09:14:41 PM »
I'm a student at Kansas State and I wasn't a fan until recently so this seems like a good place to ask.  During the Baylor game I overheard a black student saying he wanted to be Willie before he graduated.  That got me thinking.  Has there ever been a black Willie?  Seems like they would at least let him tryout so as not to appear  :opcat:, but if there's never been one before that kid's odds don't seem too good.
