You guys know it's a mystery why any story gets blown up, right? Most of these stories have been happening for years, but people with specific agendas always rally around certain ones. This isn't any different. Why did Ferguson get blown up? Why are you guys acting like random stories getting blown up is new? Why was Casey Anthony a thing?

Why are we not allowed to "politicize" this? Illegal immigration is a political issue. If this guy was an illegal immigrant, I think it is fair to point out that Mollie's death might have been prevented with stronger border enforcement. The same for Kate. The same for any number of folks killed or harmed in other ways by illegal immigrants, whether intentional or not.

The argument that these ladies and anyone else could have just as likely (or more likely) been killed or harmed by a citizen or legal resident rings hollow. Those folks have a right to be here. Illegal aliens do not.

Now if you want to argue that "sure illegal immigrants kill or harm Americans, but that's still not a reason for stronger border enforcement" that's fine. You're entitled to make that argument. You're not entitled to sweep these incidents under the rug.

I'm not sure you phrased that right. If we have fewer illegal immigrants in this country, we are less likely to be killed or harmed by one.

Again, if you want to argue that you're more likely to be killed by a citizen or legal resident - got right ahead. But as I've stated above, that argument rings hollow because one of those subsets has a right to be here.

The pool of potential victims grows at a greater rate than the pool of murderers, making me less likely to be a victim.
