All fans stay in their seats and chant repeatedly: "Go to your room, Jayhawks. Go to your room" as the opposing players and coaches shake hands postgame and the losers head dejectedly toward the locker room.

Change the team name and the chant works for every win against every team.
Such a chant precludes rushing the floor, endangering anyone, and is not an embarrassment to our team and university. Hell, it might even become a new KSU tradition.

Parents recall Steckline homicide victim; police say business targeted
By Tim Potter

""""""""""""""""""""""""

Tuesday was a day of grief at the Flores family home in Derby. But Jose Flores’ face lit up as he talked about a favorite memory of his son, Daniel.

Not surprisingly, it had everything to do with K-State sports.

Jose Flores, 52, recalled a phone call from Daniel Flores, then a student at Kansas State University. An excited Daniel Flores told his father: “Dad, guess what I’m getting ready to do?” Daniel Flores was informing his father that he was about to storm the basketball court with a throng of other students. It was Jan. 30, 2008. K-State beat No. 2 University of Kansas, 84-75.

What he really wanted to do in his career was be a radio sports announcer. He got to do it at K-State, where he graduated with a major in sociology and a minor in mass communications. He worked for the student radio station. He got to experience the Cotton Bowl with other sports journalists.

His parents thought it was fitting that Daniel, the oldest of three children, wore K-State purple on his Facebook page.

If Foster, Ewindu, and Thomas turn out to be EMAW then we'll have no choice.

Maybe he's learned.

Kansas State Football / Top 5 Underrated Football jobs
« on: September 18, 2013, 08:26:36 PM »
1. Kansas State: shiny new facilities that keep getting bigger and better and a fan base willing to shell out to win.
2. UCLA: Weather, beaches, and deep talent pool all around you.
3. Arkansas: Good fan base and just being in the SEC helps you compete for the the best talent in the nation.
4. Wisconsin: Your the only big dog in the state when it comes to D1 and the alumni pockets are deep.
5. Kansas: its not the facilities, its not the fanbase, it's the fact that you can come in and suck at your job for a couple years and then leave with major bank.

Kansas State Football / Ron Prince Stories!
« on: June 19, 2013, 10:50:12 PM »
Had a vendor at our company customer appreciation night tell me that he got into it with Ron Prince at a summer football camp.

Said he was sitting in the NEzone getting ready to watch the football camp because his kid was there and that Ronald walked down the path and fingered his shoulder and said " what are you doing here?"  He said he explained that he was there because of his son and all and that Ronald said " I didn't ask you that" "now what are you doing here?"

Vendor guy said he got into it with him and that he told him who he was (member of a big donor family) and that he needs to understand who pays the bills and keeps the the machine rolling and all.

Vendor dude said this was 06 and that he saw the writing on the wall then.

So you guys got any good Ronald stories or is this too much of a touchy topic?
