Watched the ritual last night on Netflix. It's pretty fun. Gets kinda stupid, but it's pretty entertaining.

Brooklyn's finest - 09, I don't remember any promotion of this movie, two-thirds awesome, one-third cringey, Don Cheadle is great. 5/7 worth watching (bonus: old man Westley snipes in cornrows)

If you have hbo and enjoy high quality film making with slightly eyerolly preachy moments, definitely watch darkest hour and also the post.

Just did last night and was going to post here.  Enjoyed it thoroughly.

The pacing started off pretty fast to get to Freddie's turmoil, which seemed to be a bit off, but then it settled in and was really good.  Raimi Malek was outstanding.

Ex Machina. Holy rough ridin' crap how had I not seen this already! I literally got chills during the ending. Wow.

Man what other gems have I missed out on that I’ll see 3 years after they came out.

Like the past 6 months I’ve been really exploring machine learning frameworks and this is only going to intensify that.

It's the best Black Mirror episode ever.

I'm a sucker for empathizing with AI in movies like that.  Ex Machina was such a clever movie, and I was a perfect mark for what they were trying to do.

I loved it.

BlacKkKlansman: 4/7

Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Is that all?
I don't regret watching it. Good beginning and good ending (minus the coda, and I don't want to explain what that means because spoilers). The middle kinda dragged on a bit. The Trump commentary sprinkled throughout was a bit too on-the-nose. I prefer subtlety. The individual performances were pretty good, actually. Libs will love it. Pubs probs won't. It will probs win several Oscars.

I walked out feeling about 4/7. Not a movie I'm rushing to recommend to my friends, but I also wouldn't try to dissuade someone from watching it. I just felt Spike was a bit too heavy-handed with the way he chose to make all the satirical stuff so obvious, but I guess maybe the low brows need that kind of signalling.

Just watched it...5/7.  The ending into the coda was 7/7.

Bohemian Rhapsody, while not terribly historically accurate is a great film if you like their music.   The concert sequences are perfect.  5.5/7

Blindspotting is not as good as the trailer made it out to look, but it was still a solid 5/7.

I didn't think it was possible to have that many ppl in a movie and for it to be so awful. Very surprising stuff.
