yeah, I'm pretty sure there was a thread about how a lot of people (who ended up coming over here/starting this place) thought that premium went counter to why ksufans was started.

I was.  I was flying the premium banner pretty high.  At first the information was good, and interesting to read.  Then it stopped.  End of story, there was nothing for a month or two.

I was not in favor of it, thought it hurt the board, but still joined to help the board and do my part.  Was more like a tip jar than premium.

I thought premium had some potential.  It just wasn't consistent and no real basketball info really hurt it.

I think its pretty clear that the only good (whether you like it or not, it is a good model) K-State premium is gp, but that was a different model.  That was sort of ground floor and it went from a large magazing subscribing base to internet premium.  Since then all the models haven't worked very well; first with kstatefans, then twice with ksufans.  I just think its hard to take a free messageboard base and make premium viable b/c it changes the culture of the board too much.

I can really give a rats ass about little cyber cliques.

Its the info you pay for...and according to all of the people that paid for it, the info stopped...and, well, there's a sucker born every minute.
