That article seems to be hinting at what I've been hearing for a while: The Hatter very likely will hang'em up at the end of this year or at the end of next year assuming 3 or fewer wins next year (and that's an extremely safe assumption).
However, if The Baugh becomes available at the end of this year, Jeff Shortdyk needs to be calling Sarah's family here in the KC area as well as his agent and doing everything humanly possible to entice him to bring Sarah home to be near her family by offering a king's ransom to get the Baugh to jump start KU's program. You do it surreptitiously so that no one will know that we're trying to fill Less' position while he still occupies it (although Less may wave the white flag at the end of this year). If the Baugh bites on our offer, you shuffle Less off to retirement and thank him for his efforts in rebuilding the roster.

moving this from the hskr thread....I didn't realize we had that 8 game clause but I think it's a fantastic idea. I've long been in favor of lifetime contracts for someone that can do that at KSU.
But we can all agree that Nebraska getting to eight wins in the ultra-physical Big Ten is more difficult than it would be getting to eight in the Big 12, where defense often appears optional.
This is my favorite thread on gE. The posts are all hilarious.
I hope it gets to the point where people hate the chiefs like they did the patriots

The program as a whole is in better shape now then it has been probably since the Orange bowl.
True but HNTB is no slouch. Arizona State's stadium looks great. Michigan, LSU, Kentucky have used them for renos and locker room enhancements. They didnt forget how to build/complete stadium renovations, they were likely just hampered by khakis and his grand vision to make it look like that dump in Manhattan.
Read the article. It mentions a 5 year FUNDRAISING period. Holy *****, we are really still at least 5 years from even breaking ground on phase 1? FFS
5 years? How can KU suck this bad? Oh ya...arrogance, incompetence, and corruption. Meanwhile, look at how much KSU has raised. It really bugs me that KSU is that much better at building a fb program than KU.
Based on attendance at the end of the season, we should be able to work on half the stadium at the same time during the season. Then work the other half during the next
Sounds like we are 10 years away from being close to the dump in Manhattan. Lol. By then they will have moved ahead.
Yeah that looks cool. If that was looking south in memorial it would block the hill
Do you realize what a dump Notre Dame stadium was before it was renovated
I'm more interested in seeing they're plan for the baseball stadium honestly
It needs to be noted, however, that KU has never had much of a problem recruiting skill people. How many programs the past 60 years have had three first-team All-American quarterbacks and two running backs as good as Sayers and Riggins,
At least we have a stadium. You have a hole in the ground with metal bleachers on the east and an overly built press box (paging Dr. Freud) on the West.
ESPN+ should make their thing where it's like NBA league pass or something ppv-ish? People pay, and they can then watch the stuff on a janky internet stream OR on some channel that's only accessible if you've paid but that works perfectly.
