Year before doesn’t matter, but we play all the other first place AFC teams from the previous year. Not sure how they determine home and away on that

So they're not remotely interested in the possible appearance of favoritism and impropriety? That's pretty on brand for the NFL.
Not sure what you mean? Every team’s schedule is 6 games in division (3H, 3A), 4 games against an opposite conference division (2H, 2A), 4 games against an in conference division (2H, 2A), and 2 games against the other in conference teams that finished at the same position within the division (1H, 1A).

Who you played the year before and where doesn’t matter at all.

When you make a computer generated schedule you give the computer scheduling rules, all of the things you listed are scheduling rules. The NFL could make "team A cannot host team B in back to back seasons when playing an interdivisional game." Most college and pro sports leagues use the same software so I know it has that capability. They can do that but they choose not to. I was wondering if they ever gave a reason why they don't do this, and it appears that they don't.

The Chiefs probably should use every one of their draft picks on defensive front 7 players next year.

Yea hopefully they don’t sell any of them this year for a rental.

Bummer loss, but what a game!  The Patriots played their best game of the year, and barely squeak one out at home after being up 15 at halftime.  Mahomes...what a difference between two halves.  A accurate pass to Hunt at the beginning and we win this game.

Kansas City Blue Barbecue fan.

I'm sure this was covered on here already, but why do the Chiefs have to play at New England in back to back years? I don't follow the NFL close enough to know if there's an actual logical reasoning for this.
NFL scheduling is weird AF. We've played at the Texans for like a billion years in a row now.

Appreciate that Capt. Patrick takes some risks, but, with this defense, just like every sperm is valuable, every point is valuable as well.

there is more to it than just a computer-generated schedule. as someone mentioned earlier this year, the chiefs started the season with 2 straight road games in part because they allowed t-swift to have a concert at arrowhead the saturday of Week 2. they also cannot have a home game if the royals are playing a home game that day, etc. i'm sure all 32 teams have similar restrictions.
like on the surface, yes it's weird to play back to back in the same location. as wacky mentioned, the chiefs have played Houston a total of 10 times. only two have been at arrowhead, 8 in houston. it happens and it's not uncommon.

Boston is inhabited by disgustings

Yes I'm sure Chiefs fans would never do such a thing if an opposing team's player was a few feet away.  Agree with the Boston inhabitants comment tho.

I expected a banged up KC D to give up 31+ last night.

My bigger issue is through 6 games, Opponents are doing this to our Defense....

Run on 1st down & 10 -- 6.0 Ave per carry
Run on 2nd down -- 5.1 per carry

Teams only had 103 rushes in 5 games before last night because we have been ahead so much and ahead 10+ pts alot.    Pats ran it 18 times on 1st & 10 (99 yds) and 38 times overall.  Other teams will try running it more in the 1st half until we get better at slowing the run.

I've never seen it done before, ever tbh. Yeah, most nfl fans are rough ridin' losers, but this season with fan interactions has gotten pretty weird. Broncos fans flipping the bird to Kelce, etc.

I would expect the Chiefs to at least inquire about Peterson.  If Berry ever gets healthy, pairing him with Peterson and Fuller in the slot could make our secondary borderline good.

This is where those Peters picks could come in handy.

I don't know if the Peters pick is enough.  It's basically a 3rd rounder at this point.
