That was one of my favorite games in a while. I love Jesse Lingard and I'm still milly rocking as I type this. Can they appeal the Pogba red?   not looking forward to the derby without him.

City had a big dip in form around this time last season iirc, but they're still winning those tough games like champions do. A win at OT on Sunday would essentially give them the title now. It's gonna be quite the spectacle.

Wait so why did Chelsea not top their UCL group on goal difference? Looks like the other four English teams will win their group after today. Would love to see an all English quarterfinal or semifinal but these round of 16 matchups could be tough... Chels vs Barca or PSG most likely and everyone else is trying to avoid Real, Bayern, and Juve. Nervy draw Monday.

first tiebreaker is h2h in UCL groupstages. it's what knocked chelsea out of UCL and cost RDM his job.

Nervous shits starting. Form has dipped clearly despite the late winners. Went from consistently destroying opponents to grinding out wins. One saving grace is all the pressure is on TSO.

hoping for a snow day so Pogba can play in the rescheduled game. All the pressure is on United to win. I'm predicting a 1-1 draw

City dominant in the first. One bad mistake and it's tied.

Fun to see the league completely over two weeks before Christmas :flush: should be a positively dull five months

11 points isn't too far to come back from.

City v. Basel
United v. Sevilla
Chelsea v. Barcelona
Real Madrid v. PSG
Spurs v. Juve
There are others but I don't care about them. Draw went in city's favor clearly

Basel can be feisty  :frown:

Something like 7 of the last 8 champions have led at Christmas. An 11+ point lead with City in this form would feel insurmountable. But it won't be a boring 5 months if the English sides can advance in UCL.

according to the set of MLS pro/rel truthers the relegation race is so exciting and gets so much tv viewership that it'd cancel off any lost franchise value if a team gets relegated.

Every time I get a little arrogant about Liverpool it comes back to bite me in the ass immediately. I’ll be retiring from the thread.
