But it wasn't 2004 or 05.
Regardless, today I'm happy. I got to experience a great K-State moment with my son. Go Cats.

It was 2016.
-
Feels 2013y to me. Lost some head scratchers, finished the season with momentum. Watch us get matched up with a blue blood headed in the wrong direction and we dominate them for 60 minutes in all 3 phases
-
Agreed, fan. I got to share a great weekend with my youngest daughter. Your post in another thread got me here this weekend. So glad we made the trip.
-
It was 2016.
Nope, no win as remotely good as OSU, no loss as remotely bad as Vanderbilt.
This season stands alone, on the field and all the drama off of it.
-
spectacularly bizarre.

That's true.

What a weird year. So many injuries. Looked awful for stretches in most games...but finished the year strong(w/l anyway)

What's the biggest outlier there; Vandy, KU, or OSU?
-
Vandy, then OSU, then KU.
-
It's had frustrating moments, but our preaeason expectations were legit. We were in 4 of our 5 losses starting our 2 and 3 deep QBs. And that's with Dimels questionable play calls. Imagine OU's season without Mayfield. Or OSU's without Rudolph. We took teams to the wire with dudes that didn't have any meaningful game time. Glass half full kinda guy here.

Yep.
If Dimel isn't back the preseason expectations next year will be heavy. There will be needs to be filled on defense and special teams but this offensive talent is glaring.

When the offense succeeds it often succeeds in spite of the coaching

Assuming we destroy some blue blood in our bowl, it is definitely 2013.

OSU, with Vandy not far behind.

i blame vandy on myself. i was living on a diesel-soaked derelict gillnetter at dock 8 at the fisherman's terminal and trying to stream via hotspot when we lost. missed almost all of it. by the time osu rolled around, i was a real human again with wifi and a bathroom (non-bucket/ocean).
hey, but at least i got to meet gooch and trim's dog bc of said circumstances and show them what's up at the terminal.

no idea what any of this means but god damnit

Felt more 2013 than 2016 for sure.
If we hadn't screwed out royally before halftime and beat WV...then the 2016 comparison seems closer.
Agree totally with FAN. It wasn't 04 or 05.

it means i was a homeless commercial fisherman and not giving my full attention to the cats, and trim and gooch dropped by with a dog. i found a place, got like 6 jobs, got settled, and the cats started winning.
-
I mean, it certainly looked like 04, 05 at times. Somehow the cats willed through and made us proud. I'm happy for the seniors and especially Phil. That guy deserves it.
-
I think you guys are selling the KU game a bit short. I can't do it right now but someone should post their conference scores, 30-20 is a huge WTF, I think it's a bigger outlier than Vandy.
-
I agree with MIR. KU should have been an ass whipping. Queso beat them 59-7 or something.

we were scrambling, still figuring out what was what post-ertz. i mean, yeah, i think we would pound them today, but on october 28th, it was like, who the heck are we? is delton the guy? is delton dead? we're still figuring that out. dimel, etc.
-
It's bizarro 2011.
-
I'm only going by W/L. KU's still trash and we beat them. That game, like today's, was never in doubt. OSU and probably Vandy are the weirdos.
-
This season stands on its own. It is it’s own entity. WTF moments every week. Horrible WTF losses and fantastic WTF wins. Whatever this year was I hope it carries us to a better year next year.

This cannot be emphasized enough.
Throw in the losses down the stretch to our best defender/playmaker (Reed) and a key receiver up to that point (Gruntley), and you have to appreciate what this team was able to accomplish.
Has there been another Snyder team that had this many injuries to key players?

Yeah, the injuries this year have been really ridiculous.

Guys, I knew I had seen something like this before in the Bill...

Only difference was Darnell looked wide open for what seemed like an eternity and you were just praying Bish would see him and make the throw. Zuber wasn't open for nearly as long but otherwise yes v similar, just opposite end zones

Getting UCLA in the bowl (our domination of them, like Michigan, is a given) confirms that this is 2013.

Wild that the line between being 11-1 and 3-9 was as thin as thin can be
