it's not so much about pat's ankle as it is the D, wacks.

the cinci d had perfect covg on 67% of buffalo's dropbacks (best in the divisional round). kc had perfect covg on 11% of jax's dropbacks (worst in the divisional rd by a couple galaxies).

the D is gonna determine our fate

what's the play on KU @ OU (-7.5)? looks like QB1 is out for KU, and back in for OU

tease both directions to hedge?
for example:

OU -1.5
and
KU +13.5

possible teaser legs i like to pair with OU/KU:
tulane -6 @ south florida
UNLV +15.5 vs air force
LSU +9 @ florida
Duke +13 vs UNC

KU moneyline.

agreed. feels so crazy to take ku ml over ou. not sure i want to get used to it

the problem with CEH is that he's so limited. he isn't fast or quick or powerful. his vision is surprisingly poor. he was supposed to be a great receiving back coming out of lsu but mckinnon and pacheko are both better in pass pro and more natural receivers with more juice and speed in the screen game. mckinnon was far more effective in the playoffs last year and pacheko has far more speed and power. hopefully the rookie will take over more and more of the snaps the rest of the way

I keep getting trade-in offers from the dealer where we bought our ‘19 CR-V.  They’re offering to buy it back for $2K above what we paid originally, and exchange it for  a ‘22 CR-V at msrp. I’m about to pull the trigger

hey guys, are we good at hoops again?

patrick's lone start last year is on that list fyi. didn't faze him. don't expect it to on sunday either.

13
The Alex Smith qbr brag still makes me smile

the amazing thing is the dummy still doesn't know the difference between qbr and qb rating.

alex was 8th in qbr last year ftr.

patrick was 1st this year

eff it. let's win this one for that dork mitch as well.

kevin Harlan was in his final year as the voice of the chiefs when montana hit tim Barnett in the end zone against Pittsburgh.

Saturday will be mitch's 1st home playoff win.

16
Can Marty bang the drum on Saturday?

let's win this one for marty and derrick.

I told J-Dub (massive idiot) that my ranking of teams I don't want to play round 2 was 1. Colts 2. Chargers 3. Ravens. He said he was most afraid of Ravens because of the D but I'm like "Hey J-Dub, turn off your oscar Springsteen Netflix show, pull your head out of your butt, and wake up. Lamar Jackson isn't coming into Arrowhead in a playoff game with the Chiefs coming off a bye and winning. Andrew Luck can!"

Then J-Dub (dumb dumb of the year) ate some ice cream and then listened to Born to Run 50 times on repeat and watched John Elway Patrick Mahomes highlights.

A couple of things..

1. Colts play the highest percentage of zone d in the league. Patrick is PFF's highest rated QB against zone covg this year (14 TD - 0 INT). Kelce and Tyreek will kill Indy up the seams.

2. Andrew Luck's postseason record on the road: 2 wins and 3 losses. TD to INT ratio in those games: 7:10.

Stop being afraid, pansy.

19
Patrick actually has better stats on the road. so he'll be fine either way. and the defense is steaming garbage anywhere and everywhere so bfd if we don't get the 1 seed.

20
Andy has to adjust how he calls games. Assume the other team will score. If its 4th and less than 6 anywhere past our own 40, go for it. All the time. When you account for the cheap Defensive holding, its pretty likely you're going to convert a ton of those.

yep. i would play reckless beyond words. i'd employ a no punt strategy except for the rarest of circumstances, i'd onside kick after every touchdown, i'd blitz relentlessly just going boom-or-bust and i'd also go for 2 every time (assuming the chiefs are capable of converting over 50% of them).

if andy is playing every possession with the assumption he has four downs instead of three, his play calling can be more creative and unpredictable, with 3rd-and-5's not necessarily being a pass down. any recovered onside kick by the chiefs would be a death sentence to the opponent.

this defense is so bad between the 30s that field position doesn't even matter. pinning the chargers inside their own 10 yd line just felt like delaying the inevitable. i'd rather them score their TD or kick their FG in three minutes instead of six.

yep, all of this.

andy has to adopt a 2 minute drill/4 down territory mindset from now until the clock hits 00:00 in the super bowl.

It’s just down the road from me (Larned)

I got married there. was wild. (jk, wasn't wild at all).

I get* to return several times a year for holidays and such.

* :frown:

Would you classify Larned as "Central KS" or "Western KS"?

western ks by a country mile.

we did the Grand March at said wedding. was incred

Ok. What is the Grand March? I went to a wedding earlier this year where they did this and I was so confused with what was going on. I think they may have walked (marched?) outside of the venue. Is this a Catholic thing?

I think it's Western KS specific rather than catholic. and yes.. they most certainly marched inside and outside (so lovely when the strong noreaster winds blow in from the feed lot) the venue and made a human tunnel etc. probly set to polka music. was kinda fun tbh

I'm now making it my life's mission to hoping that Seth LittreLL sucks.

Read j rake’s breakdown. Mission accomplished.

Can't say I won't secretly hope for the same. Oh, and by "secretly," I mean I've already put up a "Litrell SUCKS" banner on my house. My Idaho neighbors are giving me weird looks already. Ha.

In a few years, when Sean Snyder leads our Mildcats onto the field in the Interstate Car Battery Bowl in Larned, Kansas, I hope we beat LittreLL's UNT squad by at least a safety.

familiar with that part of the state are ya?
