Trice is gonna be good. Sneed was on fire all night. Dean was all business. Pullen was back and gave Dean a 10 because Dean missed all of his dunks in the first round but drained a 3 as time expired.

Ran into Greg by the life sized Pullen bobble head. Go Cats!
Yes A1 encounter, i enjoyed the women's three points absolutely destroying the men's. Gonna be a very good year with both teams returning quite a bit of experience.  :Woot:

I LOVE the Life Size bobbleheads. Hope they add a new one each year. They are awesome imo. It's kinda weird because i find myself having a minor obsession with them.

Were there any hilarious skits? Or did our guys do a funny dance number while wearing silly outfits and everyone in the stands just laughed and laughed because of how funny/silly it was? Did Weber dress up in a funny costume, like a hilarious rapper with a huge gold chain, or a cool leather jacket while he sat on a Harley?    :excited:

Not really any skits, they introduced all the coaches and players one at a time to their own selected music. They started with the women and their coaches and finished with the men, most players and coaches had an accompanying dance. All of the players and coaches had a hip hop song except for Peyton Williams and Claws. Williams music was noticeably awkward it was the only country song played. Dean was the last player introduced and the Lion King theme started to play. He walked out holding up, like Simba holding Nala, a stuffed wildcat pillow pet looking thing that definitely appears in the K-State0 thread.

oscar was the last person introduced, hip hop song again, he strutted to half court with the players and he started to dance, it was awesome and not at all weird or awkward, he had 5% swag.

The only thing they K-State0ed up was not hiring an MC. One of the women's assistants did the 3 point contest and she kept getting mad that people weren't loud at a 3 point contest. She at one point told everyone that "she was at KU's late night last week and they were louder."

Dave Lewis did the slam dunk contest and definitely messed the whole thing up because he's clearly "don't like the NBA" guy and has never watched a slam dunk contest. The first two guys that went Trice and Williams, had great dunks on the first try but Dave insisted that they keep dunking because there was still time on the 60 second clock. Of course their follow up dunks were crap and they got tired.

One last thing, the dude who won the high jump national championship was a judge and when Dave Lewis interviewed him he said he could do a better job dunking than the players but his coach would kick him off of the team. He bounced the very second the slam dunk contest ended, right up the stairs between sections 4 & 3 and right out the door.

Stats in this tweet from Jeff Goodman

We won 75 to 70 .  Oregon ranked #14.  Score doesn't mean much lots of guys got minutes.  Twenty minutes a piece for the guards.  15 each for Mak and Trice.  Sounds like it was a success and we no negatives.
