Mom went up to Iowa City yesterday to get scanned for a 2nd opinion to see if she really beat this beast of pancreatic cancer. They zapped the crap out of her, but everything was clear, it's official, she's a true badass and ended up on top of this thing! :emawkid:

sister died of cancer. took her 8 year (ages 19-27) from diagnosis until death. watched her die in front of me in a hospital in southeastern arizona after much suffering. ewings sarcoma. rare bone cancer. bone marrow transplant at uw in seattle, which I was a match for and provided. transplant was only done there bc of complicated insurance stuff. and also why i ended up moving to seattle. i have control of her facebook so her friends can reach out to her spirit. she was way wilder than myself, if you can imagine that. and didn't deserve to die. but she did. such is life. my father and i co-wrote her obituary. so, yeah, anyone in this thread. i get it.

If I had cancer, I would not feel supported or honored by some coach or coach adjace procuring himself a new pair of sneakers and wearing them mismatched with a suit.  But what do I know?

One of our own gE’ers was recently diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma. It’s absolutely imperative that we get as many people signed up for the bone marrow registry as possible. DM me for further details on how to help.

Found out today my dad has lung cancer that has spread to his liver. Because of his age and his kidney disease, there is not real treatment.  Telling my dad he has less than 6 months is by far the worst thing I’ve ever had to do.

Thanks, guys it’s been a shitty day. He’s grateful that he’s had almost 81 years on this planet and he’s definitely handling it better than me or my sister.
