99.9% of breakfast burritos I've bought are overcooked scrambled eggs with overcooked vegetables and soggy potatoes.

The only person I dislike in shogun is the main British sailor.

He’s awful and I stopped watching because he grated on me so much

Netflix has a new doc about the recording of We Are the World, called The Greatest Night in Pop.  The footage is good and it's pretty impressive how they got all those stars to show up in one place at the same time.  There were lots of interesting mini-stories within this show and of course it talked about the efforts of trying to get Prince to show up.  Still no explanation of what Dan Aykroyd was doing there.  Drugs?

I just finished this and I can't emphasize enough how much I loved it. This is the perfect mix of wholesomeness and nostalgia. Even Waylon Jennings being a giant man baby didn't ruin this song or documentary.

Yeah, i never cared for that song and always thought it was so corny when I was young.

The doc really puts into context just what a huge deal it was to put together and pull off.  pretty incredible.

I'm incredibly sad that curb is over.  Seinfeld was my favorite show in high school and curb has been since it started.  Huge chunk of my life laughing at Larry David's humor.

Loved how he ended it

Purdue decided to live or die by Edey but he was not up to the task this time.

Bro had 37 & 10, wasn't his fault
This

And he had them in foul trouble with lots of time left. Just couldn’t get anything else going.

Really impressive by UConn. Just dominant

I'd rather the chiefs stay put because of nostalgia.

also a list of non-liberal cities would be helpful (iirc the only 1M+ population metros to vote for trump in 2016 were OKC and jacksonville FL)

Chinese series is 30 episodes!

42
not sure how close it is to the book but it's generally about an alien invasion, although there are a lot of layers as tater alluded to. The book series is pretty mind-blowing.
Is it written in English that does not seem like a hackish Chinese translation? For example, I read one of the Witcher books and those were translated from Polish and the nuances of dialogue were weird and unsettling to me.

originally in chinese translated to english.

The chinese series is much better than the netflix series and follows the book very closely.

The new series is based on and follows the plot of the books, but as mentioned, the first season borrows plots that are outside the first book.

43
I read 3 body first 2 books, netflix series was good IMO but it combines story lines between the books.

The book narrative jumps timelines so maybe that's why.

There is a series on Prime that is very true to the books and very well done but it's in chinese/subtitles

I’m pretty sure the term squatting is from translation of Indians complaining to their agents that white people were shitting on their treaty lands.

Shitting  translated to squatting fwiw

The whole idea of squatters rights was the idea that Indians couldn’t take care of the land or use it right.

Giving white famines free reign to illegally settle on treaty lands

my wife and I usually just do happy hour/small plates when we go!

Too many great options, the entrée's are enormous and there's no way to do apps and an entree unless you just want the leftovers.

If you are ever there and they have a fried chicken option get that

47
Squatters rights are racist

i feel like you can't really go wrong, but what's the go-to menu item at waldo thai?

Phad Kee Mow Nua ????????????   25 (VE option upon request) stir-fried fresh flat rice noodle , flank steak, egg, gailan, bell pepper, serrano, Thai basil

but yes, the menu is seasonal and they change often.

Charles Lightoller who played a prominent roll in getting people off of Titanic later used his private boat to spy on uboats and he assisted in the dunkirk evacuation.

The movie Dunkirk features a character based on Lightoller, old man in the boat that picks up Cillian Murphy.

Just a little FYR

Waldo Thai was every bit as good as people say

Best Restaurant in KC.  Not really close IMO.  Unless you just don't like Thai food which is ok too.
