RPO's would be amazing.  DE also smoking man coverage slanting across the field would also be very fun to watch.  I would hope they would feed DE like Chiefs did with Tyreek plus KR/PR.

I took "The Mind of a Serial Killer" at Kansas State back around '06 and it was a, very dark, but delightful class. The homicide detective that got BTK spent an entire 8 hour day talking to our class about the case. He looked and sounded very similarly to Al Pacino which made it even more fun.

I took this as an intersession class in December 2008.  I think they called it Social Construct of a Serial Killer.  It was a 500 level sociology class.

By far the best class I ever took.  Lietenant Landwehr was the guy who spoke on BTK.  We also had FBI agents walk through scenes.  We watched a decent amount of Dexter.  We also had a girl talk with the class who survived being killed by a serial killer Tommy Lynn Sells (Krystal Surles).  Everything we saw was uncensored.  I remember signing a waiver to participate in the class.  Some of the photos from BTK crime scenes and an interview were never shown publicly.

Seems weird to build up a program to be a perennial top 20 team, win a Natty, and bail for another program.  How often does that happen?  I don't think very often which is why I don't see Drew leaving Baylor.  Seems like he has a good thing going and he can be there as long as he wants with limited pressure from fans/AD/UP.
This is true but Baylor is arguably the "lowest profile" school to win a championship in recent memory. Villanova is probably the closest comparison?

Not sure school's profile matters anymore if you have NIL support + fan/AD/UP support.  I think this is why we have seen some hall of fame coaches retire in the last couple years.  I don't think Kentucky/KU/UCLA/Duke/Michigan State/North Carolina names will continue to hold the weight they used to.  The "name" is no longer needed to bring in great players and contend for titles.  The last two years represent the new NIL landscape, and I don't think many of us would have predicted not a single Blue Blood (UCONN is now BB though) making the FF.

2024 FF Teams:
Bama, Purdue, NC State, and UCONN

2023 FF Teams:
SDST, Miami, FIU, and UCONN

What is Underwood's buyout these days?

Arkansas will have a full roster to fill.  Should be fun for whatever coach they land (meaning a lot of work).

You guys remember having Denis and Jake on the court at the same time?  If not, it was either peak WildWildCat bb fun, or second to last year.
Denis + Jake was a close second to last year.

Denis + Jake is still my favorite.  That team was amazing.  I will always be convinced the double OT game wore our ass out for Butler.  I think we would have beat Butler and gone on to win the NC.

This new rule is going to frustrate a lot of players, teams, and fans.  Similar to a WR faking pass interference or hold, a ball carrier could also "sell" a questionable hip drop tackle to get a flag thrown.

Rumors true of Cam Carter entering portal?

PG and SG for sure (unless you can find me a Big that can also shoot from 3 like Tomlin).

Who is taking on the Kaluma role if we spend our money on two guards?

A team doesn't require a Kaluma role.  But possibly Buddy Rich?  We are going to have plenty of roster spots available for transfers.

i’m probably drinking too much of the Tang but i just don’t see us losing a lot to the portal.

maybe 1-2 guys is my guess.  the roster is really unbalanced and could use adjustments, I just don’t know if it will happen.

I personally think Taj Manning and Finister will hit portal.  I think there is a good chance DNG hits portal as well.

Kaluma tries Pro/G-league/Euro.

McNair and Perry graduate.

We will need to hit portal hard since we have one incoming HS recruit.
just curious, what do you think DNG has to gain by portaling?

I see it as a McNair going to KSU situation.  In an ideal lineup, DNG comes off the bench as a backup.  If DNG wants to start and that opportunity isn't in Manhattan, there is a good chance he could transfer.

Whoever Pat wants but also keeps Spags happy.  I don't think the organization will let Reid and Spags walk at the same time.

I will be letting my son play tackle starting in the fall...and he will be in 4th grade.  Wife and I were on the fence on this for quite some time for the obvious reasons.

Ultimately, we made our decision to let him play tackle due to the fact we are convinced he will get hurt playing flag.  He has played flag for KCFC for 4 years now.  Last year we played in the top division, and it was super competitive.  There were multiple moments I thought we were going to see a mid-air head bang as the kids were going after a pass.

My son also plays RB...and he is very athletic at this point in his life.  There were times kids would attempt to tackle and would get more aggressive than they should because of the level of difficulty he presented when going after his flag.  Many of the injuries he sustained playing flag were due to collisions happening trying to bring him down.  He would get a knee to the hip or thigh for example.

We are moving to tackle in hopes that the pads protect him a bit more.  At this age they at least don't hit each other hard.

That being said, I don't think every kid is ready.  My son is big-boned.  Some of his friends are super tiny and I would not be comfortable letting them play tackle if they were my kids.

Also - KCFC has weight limits on ball carriers.  That also gives me comfort that these kids aren't trying to tackle a kid who hit a growth spurt at an early age.  If they are too heavy, they are required to be on the line.

Thanks. Its one of those things where starting them early and teaching the fundamentals is good, but also opens them up to more head shots at an early age so I see both sides. I LOL at the weight limit thing. When I was a kid they had those too and it was very obvious that A)it was a self reported thing and B)if they did weigh the kids, one or two teams in my pee wee league starved the kids over the summer so they could hit weight at the beginning of the year. Every year it was terrifying playing them. This dude was a monster RB and just smoked us all.

KCFC is pretty strict on weight limits.  Anthony Sherman took his kid's team to tackle starting last year, and decided not to do the KCFC league because of the weight limit.  I think they play on the Missouri side somewhere.  I've also heard he is running the Oklahoma drill with these kids....which is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. That is Sherman in a nutshell and his group of kids go all out for bball and baseball.  They are peaking early and will get burned out before high school.

Our coaching staff is going to be extremely anal about fundamentals.  You would think every team would think this way...but I honestly have no idea and I don't trust most people who are so adamant about tackle at this age.

No team in history with 5 Quad 1 wins and zero quad 3/4 losses has ever been left out of the tournament.

Does that count the walk-on that is technically a 4 star?

Speaking with KU fans in the office today, they agreed with me that KU plays better with Dickinson on the bench.  The team becomes too one-dimensional.  HD get the ball down low he shoots it nearly every time.  Very seldom does he kick it back out to his teammates.

They pump JD coming back just to set themselves up to play in Arrowhead in front of 40k fans in an 80k capacity stadium.  Bad optics.

40k is wishful thinking

So are they tarping half the stadium and adding store mannequins and SEX DOLLS to substitute for Tay Tay?

Fair point.  They'll get 40k fans for ISU.  The state of Iowa loves themselves some Arrowhead.

We will most likely be losing Gay and Jones in the offseason (hoping we resign Sneed).  I'm guessing our defense will take a small step back and not be as dominant.  Our offense will have to get better, and that will come with picking up some WRs.

Dude shut up, we averaged over 7 ypp yesterday and you’re talking about adding wrs that we don’t need

Chillax my man.  My response was in regards to Chiefs possibly thinking Mahomes still doesn't need WR's next year given his group this year had a ridiculous amount dropped passes.  If we lose some playmakers on Defense (like Jones and Gay), I do not think the staff will have the opinion that WR's aren't important for Mahomes.

Go Chiefs!  Beat Ravens!
