Zero chance that Harrison failed to see this coming. He 100% wanted this response.

Sports are entertainment. Adding this sort of stuff increases the entertainment for some.

If zero fall into the netting on the edge then you win the day.

I think we're going to Japan next July as a family. Probably stop off in Hawaii on the way there, possibly on the way back too. We'll hire a tour guide for probably a couple of the days to haul us around. pretty stoked.
That will be awesome. You should all wear giant cowboy hats the entire time.

Guys, it was a commencement speech at benedictine.  Good grief.
Is your point that he said it at a public forum and therefore purposely invited public dialogue?

Yeah, this thread probably needs to be out of the pit. The Quantum thread is where we discuss the combination of nearly infinite compute with AI to create our new Gods.

Guys, I think we go undefeated then lose the Big 12 Championship to a dark horse Big 12 team, then lose our first game in the CFB playoffs. Eerily similar to 1998.
I hate to be a Debbie downer, but I don’t think the Big 12 will be a lock to get a 1 loss conference CCG loser into the playoff.

I think a big reason Butker is more controversial is because most people agree that drunk driving and domestic violence is wrong.

(Butker's crew might be ok with a little wife beating if the Bible allows it but you get my point)
Yes, and advocating for a diminished role for woman outside the home impacts a lot of people who have objectively been paid lower wages and historically held back.  It’s a sensitive topic for them.

Looks like MHK may never realize our dreams of getting a Red Lobster, not that they are entering bankruptcy.

I definitely like the idea of trying to slow China’s tech capabilities.

If you don't feel like the medication you are taking is working, I would heavily advise scheduling an appointment with your Nurse Pract, or whatever pro you use, and ask for a Gene Sight test.  If they do them, they do a quick mouth swab and within a week or so they will report to you what drugs should work with your genotype.

For years I had tried different anti-depress with varying degrees of initial success that wore off after a few months.  After doing the gene test and seeing a printout of what should and shouldn't work for you is a breath of fresh air.  I'm taking a medication now that has been a game changer.

Four years booze free as of March 13.
Fantastic advice, I may do that…and congrats!

I agree with Peyton Manning that it is best if kickers never make public comments.

For the record Butker did not tell them to “stay in the kitchen.” He suggested they be “homemakers” which is a far nicer way of saying stay in the kitchen. Oddly, he did not comment on the absurdity of paying private college tuition to become a homemaker.

Most people noting that.  Give that wacky speech at a High School commencement bro
Guess they can think of Benedictine tuition as a dowry of sorts. :dunno:

What is the economic case for assessing 100% (Biden proposed) or even 200% (Trump proposed) tariffs on Chinese EV’s?

I had to read this book a long time ago for Macro and it convinced me free trade was great.

What am I missing? Cheap reliable electric cars seem like a huge win for everyone.

Meh

Seems like law is far more likely to be impacted.

AI is probably not great at classroom management (unless it is one of those drone machine gun things)
Creative interpretation of the law is still beyond AI’s reach. Also, the risk of hallucinations by the AI is a problem. It paralegals might be in trouble.

My brother in law took this pick from the dock at my cabin in Northern MN last night. Their place is on the north side of the lake and had an obstructed view.

A crane that inhabits our pond stood its ground today with the cows who dared wander too close.  I don't know if it had egg or chick in the reeds, but it typically flies to nearby trees when there's activity at the farm.

Tater took it in from the safety of the pontoon.

"The idea that we would cut off military aid to an ally, our only true, true ally in the entire region, is absolutely preposterous. It's just beyond my comprehension anyone would do that.”

We got two older Yamaha Grizzly 700’s from a retired couple who were making the switch to a side by side. Both are EFI, but only one is power steering (I make my son drive the non-powered one). We drove them all over hell and back the first weekend…to dinner, get groceries, etc.
