I once painted my pinewood derby car as close as I could to that rainbow colored 24 Dupont Chevrolet.  I don't know why I liked him so much but I think he kind of transcended sport like Tiger Woods did.

I don't like Busch. That said, you have to respect what he did after missing so many races after being injured at Daytona.

That said, I still don't like him. Or his brother.

:Woot: Sat in the same spot for the last 100 laps watching my guy Kyle dominate the championship4. What  a crazy/awesome season for #RowdyNation: Broken Leg/Baby Brex/Championship. Pumped Kyle got the "can't win in the Chase" monkey off his back. Grew up a KB fan but always had respect for Jeff, can't wait to hear him on Fox next year. Have a great Thanksgiving week everyone. Daytona can't come soon enough.

Who knew this actually started already? I mean what cable access channel now has the broadcast rights?

NASCAR is back to the 90's of the TV rights package. They'll be on like 5 different networks.

Kind of lol to me how they're saying Daytona is now the first stadium in racing. I mean, Bristol has kind of been a stadium for a long time, right?

Jeff was superb in his first race as an analyst. I'm also glad to see Larry Mac did well in his transition to a new role.

And the race? Great, great finish.

Watching the brickyard because JG88 is running.  It's a boring race as they tend to be and IMS is maybe 40% full.

NASCAR needs a shake up and some stars.   The hyper equalization rules and constant tweaking are killing them.

They are always boring on TV until the later laps.  I've been to two races in KC and they were a lot of fun

I went to the dirt races at Eldora last week. Way more fun to watch than Sprint Cup.

Just took a great nap with Brickyard playing. Now for the final stretch.

I can't believe how detached I have become from NASCAR this season since my guy is gone. I started watching Cale Yarbrough as a lil tyke with my mom, I've literally been watching the sport for 30 years. Now I haven't seen a single race to completion, I haven't even seen 100 total laps all season. It doesn't help that my new guy, Larson and my gal, are poop.

Larson won the truck event in Eldora. One fine racer on the dirt.

I saw my first race in 1997.  Was back in the corporate area right next to the DuPont tent when JG had to be brought in by a van and wade through 500 people to get inside.  I had no clue before that how big a deal he was.

Wasn't sure where to put this, but I'm sure the guys that follow racing have already heard about Bryan Clauson dying from injuries at the Belleville Nationals (in Belleville, KS) last weekend.

Was questionably the best open wheel dirt driver in the nation and has dabbled in different Nascar series.

Have friends that knew him and said he was a pretty amazing dude. Sad deal.

I was there. Knew it was bad when they hauled off his car covered with a white sheet. Didn't realize how well known he was until all these drivers were tweeting about him.
Stud was an organ donor and saved some lives though.

Also, Gordon 2.0 has sucked. woof.
