Minnesota fired a coach who won a national championship after he WON a tournament game. Freaking Minnesota. If our fans at some point stop feeling like we're less than, then we may not have to feel like we have to hire loser retreads. Just a thought.I've been a K-State fan for 17 years, and I've seen one coach fired in MBB. That coach was retained after his 5th season with a 10th place finish in the league and no NIT bid. So even if the climate is different at K-State now (it is, drastically) I can only go on what I've seen. Its hard for me to see a clean program that improved from the previous season and makes the tourney having a coach fired at K-State.

If we can pay $6 million for the buyout and then whatever other raise Brad wants, are we sure we can't get someone even better?
BITB reiterated the following today:1. He's hearing $6 mil in cash for Brad's buyout is ready to go.2. Veatch's hands are not tied when it comes to dealing with oscar.3. oscar needs to win at least one, but likely two games in the tourney to keep his job. Also says Snyder is pushing hard for Chad Weiberg.

Martin’s buyout, which had dropped to $800,000 after this season and was set to fall to $500,000 after each of the next two seasons, was increased to $4.8 million after the coming season and $3.5 million the following season. It would then drop to $1.5 million after 2018-19 and eventually get down to $500,000.Read more here: http://www.thestate.com/sports/college/university-of-south-carolina/usc-mens-basketball/article69446227.html#storylink=cpy
