The next few years will be a very interesting time.  The level of partisan anger in politics is truly astounding and has seemingly ratcheted up during my lifetime.  As such it will be very interesting to see the levels of flexibility that will be employed to support individuals respective candidates.

I did not vote for Donald but fully accept his victory and am not butthurt (in fact I would prefer him over Ted Cruz oddly enough).

That being said I do not see how anyone would not be interested in his tax return.

I do not see how anyone would not have at least moderate concerns about the apparent ties to Russia that seemingly exist on multiple levels.

I do not see how needing an explanation of not using nuclear weapons is not troubling (I would see the modernization of our nuclear arsenal as a important tool in terms of mutual deterrence regardless of administration.)

I do not see how the use of twitter and seeming inability to control himself can be seen as a positive or at leas not mildly disconcerting geo-politically.

I would very much have these concerns regardless of political affiliation.

This is the equivalent of baby boomers talking about how millennials are lazy. Every generation says it. Politics has always been a dirty angry game with crap being slung all over the arena.  It's no worse now than when senators were beating each other with a cane on the senate floor or muckracking newspapers were publishing scandalous rumors about political candidates.

Wrong, it really came to a head with Newt Gingrich as house speaker in the 90's.

My grandma told me today she thinks he might get "popped" at the inauguration.

I am not arguing that politics was once a noble and gentlemanly endeavor.  I also was not alive in 1851.

If we could bring back the good ol' days when politicians with different ideology's could still have a beer with their counterpart at the end of the day.  Like Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton.

The dystopian takes on Trump are very interesting in the context of the last 8 years which of many things:  Expanded perpetual war, advanced rather than rolled back the surveillance state, saw an administration fight tooth and nail to keep things like the Patriot Act (while floating the concept of indefinite detention), treatment of government whistle blowers reached draconian levels, government transparency reached all time lows, created the most caustic global geo-political climate in decades etc. etc. etc.

I'm gonna need a list of the "war ghouls" who are chomping at the bit for what would be a world ending war with Russia.
