I'd fight the battle with you if there were actual news getting drowned out but it's all nonsense at this point of the year anyway.

They have to find a bat somewhere. MJ, Nelly, and Hunter are just killing 3 spots in the lineup. You can't have a third of your lineup sub .200 and expect to continue winning. I'd add Isbel, but he at least play elite CF. I'm guessing they bring up Waters this weekend and someone gets the boot. That isn't much of a boost but they have to try something.

Since 4/20

NV
.155/.222/.259

suckfroe
.129/.206/.177

MJ
.118/.130/.191

Yep, really hoped MJ could develop, but its getting about time for him to hit the bricks. Renfroe was a terrible signing to begin with. I'd prob keep Nelly around but am indifferent. I'd rather see Waters and Loftin at this point. That probably isn't going to cut it, but you may as well see if they can play.

Wasn't the Renfroe contract basically "We'll overpay you and if you end up somehow being worth it, you can opt-out"

Also, I don't have kids so I think that keeps me from realizing how old I am.  Going to a show like this and seeing the other concertgoers is a stark reminder.

I was there too and enjoyed it as well.  A little bit of an aging rockers-type energy but they did well with it.

I've pimped Willie Mae's Scotch House in NoLa before as life changing fried chicken. Here's a YouTube review of what appears to be their L.A. expansion.

I've always hit Coop's close to the French Market, which is also outstanding.

I'm a little surprised it wasn't the Texans.  Up and coming team with a good young QB and a splashy offseason.  The Ravens were really the only other choice.

Somehow, the same team minus Kinda is worse than last year

Thursday week 1 is a nice perk of being the Kings of the World

It wasn't a perk last year for Jawaan Taylor.

This has to become the norm for those preseason tournaments now, right?  Offer big NIL packages to entice the best teams

That still happens whenever someone mentions Alabama
"Whenever" . . . That's not true. The best part is when you guys get all  :curse: :curse: when I pointed out that places like the cracker belt quadrangle had/has many of the same issues.

But you bringing The Pit out of the The Pit is just the most onbrandest thing - ever

10-2 or 11-1.

I'm rooting for us to lose to Arizona in our OOC game then finish higher then them in the Big12 standings by 1 game and go to the Dr pepper while they watch at home.

Bonus points if we finish tied with the same conference record but win the conference tie breakers to go over them.

Do you not think they would change the tiebreakers with 2 games to go?  lol

RJ Jones to TCU  :frown:

That could be a painful reminder that we get yearly

KU and KSU should take more subtle/petty shots at each other.  With college sports abandoning many regional rivalries, schools should absolutely stoke the ones that remain.

All-Big 12 teams or at least HM:
Castillo
McDaniel

Big 12 caliber starter/potential HM:
N'Guessan
CJ Jones

B12 ready contributor:
Hausen

Development worth trying to keep around/less than 10 minutes a game:
Fall
Rich
Manning

We need two more guys in the top two tiers and probably one in the contributor tier (or Fall/Rich/Manning to step up a level) to have a shot at the NCAAs, IMO.  We need two scorers and two rebounders, which Toppin and the UNCW guy could cover.

Sounds like we're in on this guy - it would be a fantastic get.

Does anybody know if a suspended player (i.e. Rice) is still allowed to practice / study film with their team?

They typically aren't allowed once the season starts.  Rice's potential suspension may not even get resolved this year depending on how much the legal side gets pushed.

Wait, he got a 40yd dumpster for that shed?

There are few greater joys than a lot of room being left in a dumpster, imo.

Dai Dai and RJ were moving backward on the depth chart with Dug, Castillo, CJ and seemingly Battle.  They went from 3rd and 4th at the position to probably 4th and 6th.  We'll see how the rest of the roster fills out, but we'd probably need to run 3 guards quite a bit (which we might do) for Dai Dai and RJ to even get the minutes they got last year.

I like Excellence.  It's not the cheapest but has better food than most All-Ins and provides better value than Sandals (unless you scuba a lot).

Colorado's two weakest areas last year were O-line and Defense.  Talent may have been part of the issue but consistency in those units goes a long way.  I don't think those units will ever be all that good if you're replacing over 50% of them year in and year out.
