Well, sans kids is kind of a big deal. He enjoyed his situation, yours was about 100% more difficult. You still had a heck of a postseason run Cf3 and IMO you are the top Roys fan on this blog.

hot damn, the omar infante contract really stinks

Almost have to gamble on his offense rebounding to pre 2014 levels and count on his solid defense if we don't want to eat $15 million

Hopefully his elbow surgery goes well.

The Guts decision is absolutely correct and I will miss him. I will probably even miss my man Alex (R) a little bit.

If Ned frees Dyson / Orlando, then I will only miss Rios a teeny tiny bit

How much do you guys think Gordon will end up costing? 4 years, $80 million?

When one person, for whatever reason, has a chance to lead an exceptional life, he has no right to keep it to himself.

#9 Alex Gordon (3B/OF)
Age   PA   BB%   K%   AVG   OBP   SLG   wOBA   wRC+   Offense   Defense   WAR
31   422   11.6 %   21.8 %   .271   .377   .432   .351   122   10.2   2.2   2.8
Median Years: 5
Median AAV: $18 million
Total: $90 million

Average Years: 4.9
Average AAV: $18.6 million
Total: $92.2 million

After Gordon declines his $12.5M player option, the Royals will extend Gordon a qualifying offer ($15.8M). Will he accept it?
No: 100%.

The Guts and Rios buyouts save us $17.8M next year. There's no way that either of them could play to the value of their salaries in 2016.

I hope we give Guts a cushy front office job when he retires.

Rios had some huge hits in the postseason and I wish him well in his future endeavors.

Need to hire Gomes and Guts as celebration consultants. Does MLB limit coaches in the dugout?

I had no clue how many people hate Kacie Mcdonnell. Like, all my coworkers hate her, because apparently she blocks people easily on twitter or something and Ms. Wacky doesn't think she's hott. I mean, I know it's #science and stuff, but some females are cray cray!

I just sat next to a couple of late 20'ish fashionista's from the NYC visiting an undisclosed midwest city so they could check on the status of their high end shoe lines latest releases as they were displayed in a too cool for schooler hipster shoe store . . . they said "to die for" about every other sentence. I guess it's the KC hipsters who are . . . behind the times.
