He'll be missed.  I wish I had known him.

comparisons to edison and einstein?  okay, that's it.  eff him.

I just saw an article thanking him for Woody and Buzz Lightyear.  Yeah, Steve Jobs thought up Toy Story by himself.  In fact he even drew the whole rough ridin' trilogy by hand, didn't even have to use any computers for it.

why does this stuff piss people off so much?  do you think Walt Disney did all of that for everything from the mouse to the slutty mermaid?

It doesn't piss me off at all but I am laughing at some of the praise being heaped on him.  If I saw Walt Disney's frozen head I actually would thank him for somehow enabling a crew of animators to perve out on a mermaid.

Xerox invented the Mouse.  Wozniak invented the PC.  Some group of engineers designed the iPod and iPad.  Jobs genius was putting everything together and driving the development to user-friendly products.  He was a big thinker.  His baby was really the Macintosh, which introduced desktop publishing to the world.  MS had the good sense to copy it almost exactly with Windows.  Jobs left Apple and started Next, which created the groundwork for  OSX and bought Pixar from Lucasfilm.  They did a computer animation demo with the jumping lamp that led to Toy Story.

The point is most everything he touched turned to Gold.  A pretty amazing feat.

Cut backs were yesterday. Woof! Never let go for 28 years and 2 in a 3 year span all of a sudden. I know I've ruffled some feathers with some of you, but let me know if you hear of any leads. Go cats!

Sorry to hear that wacky, this is a steve jobs thread though.  You might have more luck in the layoffs thread.
