greghardin, are there any plans currently to adapt this book into a major motion picture?  I have a first draft screenplay I'd like you to take a look at.

Here's a taste:
Willie doesn't want to go to college.  He wants to pursue his dream of year round farming in California's Great Central Valley.  However at his father's behest he agrees to one year at K-State.  He has a miserable first couple of weeks until reluctantly joining the soil judging team, "Essential Soils", at the suggestion of his father. After a series of misadventures Willie brings the soil judging team together with his unique talent and innovative judging style and leads the team to the multiplesoil judging national championships.

Uh, hey what's happening with Willies right leg here? Seems like something you might want to fix before printing...

This is oblivious reference to our starting QB.  But seriously, it's the knee not the leg.

Pretty obvious hyperextension of the knee.

 

I actually do take critiques seriously--to me it's cartoon anatomy but it would be very easy to push that back a little bit.  Thanks for the notes.

It just looks like his lower right leg is a lot wider than the knee joint is and it looks like they don't match up. JMHO

I think the line for the calf muscle is just too sharp and a little too high up on the leg. It makes it look like his knee is bending backwards.

how hard was it for you in your other book to encapsulate the beauty of the hill at ku?

My suggestion to Greg would be to add a disclaimer saying that the book is just a tribute and in no way can attempt to portray the gloriousness of the hill.

I actually think he did a pretty good job with the hill in his Jayhawk book.  Well done greg.

Not only concerned about that obvious knee hernia, are we sure he is going to keep a foot inbounds? maybe have the ball closer to his hands and or scoot him back a yard or so. like knees endlines are tricky

Here's a modification.  Made the shadow so he's more off the ground and bent the leg slightly.  Thanks for the notes!
