1 - Are you a power 5 team with no losses?
2 - What is your best win(s)?
3 - What is your "best" loss(es)?
4 - Did you face a team close to you in head to head competition?

to me, these answered questions are, generally, why ksu is where it is, and why other teams are where they are.

I think they are being true to the emphasis on marquee OOC matchups and that's why Auburn is at 3.  Prove to everyone that you can beat a good team out of conference and you will be ranked higher than the other teams with similar resumes.  That's probably why Oregon is ranked so high even with a loss to Arizona.

Being ranked high is fun.  It's one of the only reasons I even pay attention to Cats sports.

I think it's more fun to win every week and climb up a couple spots each week like in 2012. jmho. #1 heading into Waco again?
