Tried my homebrew pale ale last night. It was only a little above average, but it's still better than some other pale ales I've paid for. Considering this a win.  :Woot:

I've been on a vodka binge of late. Time to hop back on the craft beer train. Traveling this week. So I'll be seeking new beers.

Like, what are you brewing? Cans or bottles? Do you have a local hop producer?

Belgians mostly. Black IPA, White IPA, Belgian Pale, and a Tripel.

Will just be kegging to sell out a taproom and distributing to restaurants for the first year or so depending on demand.

then will bottle and sell to liquor stores.

hops will be from Hop Union in Yakima, WA

guys. have you had the opportunity to enjoy a sour beer yet? i hadn't paid any attention to it, ignored all the love child's, but while touring new belgium this fall i tried their sour - la folie.

i loved it. just loved it. since then i've tried new glarus sour, monk's cafe flemish sour, the boulevard foeder project. i also loved the foeder.

also, i love mix n' matching 6'ers at gomer's.

Man, its things like this current convo that make me miss New Orleans even more. Living back here in WV I miss out on so many opportunities to try amazing small batch stuff, or even just the stuff that only gets distributed to larger cities, of which WV has none.

Congrats, KCFD. Best of luck in your endeavors!

I've tried the sour beers and cannot do them.  Its not terrible for a sip or whatever, but no way I could drink a giant bottle of La Folie.

Also, La Bestia Aimable by Ranger Creek out of Texas, really damn good. Bonus: A really good friend of mine designs all of their labels, and he started La Bestia's as a bigass oil painting.

my first taste was at NBB on the tour in August.   While it was not an unenjoyable experience for the tasting, I just know I could never do a whole bottle.

I know a place that does beer dinners up in Colorado about 6 times a year or so.  New Belgium, Deschutes and some smaller ones.  If Colorado becomes a market you are starting to expand to, let me know and I will put you in touch with some people.
