Only 8 days until KU's first real road game.

Monmouth about to get their 4th win over one of the big boys this year...up 18 with 4 min left at G'Town. Already beat USC, ND, & UCLA. :surprised:

I have the Oklahoma State vs Longwood on now.  They look like a team we should beat twice based on their play right now.  Could be the opponent, though.

no, they're horrible.

my goodness.  they've gone from kp 186 to start the season to 54.  finished 2013 at 313.  incredible.

I'm hoping for two wins against them then.

It really insane, I think as of now Kenpom is still using data from last year. What is the point when last year is washed out?

*note: g'town, usc & ND might be playing over the heads right now.

iirc, pomeroy has said he fades it out gradually, and it's completely gone after either 10 or 12 games.  not sure which.

Is Greg Gard (the interim coach) his Sean Snyder?

Yep, Some Media guys think this is exactly what happened.

It's not really the same thing at all. Many people around the program thought Gard was going to get the job anyway. There certainly wasn't a there's no way in hell this guy isn't getting the job so I'm going to essentially force my guy into an interim position like there would be with Sean and Bill.

I do agree with dub though, Bo quit because this team is poop.

Pretty easy for Ryan to step away from a 7-5 team that may miss the tourney for the first time since he's been there. Feels kind of like OBC stepping down at South Carolina.

dumb and annoying

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Heard on radio this morning that Ryan wanted to hand it over last year, but Gard's dad was battling cancer. So, Ryan held on till things settled down and Gard could have his full attention on the team.  It probably served a double purpose too since Alvarez is such a dick anyway and Ryan could make sure Gard had a chance for the Head.

hmm, alavarez seems like exactly the type of AD that would love the way that this has worked out

That was my thought too.  It is creative and feeds off and creates energy.

I feel like if Bo was stepping down like this intentionally to get his guy the gig this isn't when he'd do it. That would be like if Bill tried that for Sean this season. If you know it's going to be a shitty season makes it easy for the AD to move on after the season. The smart play is when you know it's going to be a good season regardless of who is head coach.

Key would to be to lower expectations for the new guy to blow out of the water.

Coach's don't specifically recruit worse players and not coach them correctly in order to lower expectations.  Cmon.

Bo is old, he's probably been teetering for a year now, and a shitty team was the nail in the coffin.  Hence bitch move.

Also, UNI taking down Iowa State now along with North Carolina earlier. But also losing at home to Colorado State.
