Lawrence is a nice little bedroom community for Topeka and KC.  Always has been, always will be.

Bedroom communities don't have that level of crime and criminals.  It's more like a slum of KC  and Topeka.

Bedroom communities are for sleeping.  Lawrence has always been a good place if you are homeless or you work elsewhere in a place that has jobs.

They also have very nice outlet malls for the poors.

Pretty accurate.

Who do we talk to about drilling a one-way pipeline from the Flint Hills Breadbasket to the Kaw Valley Breadbasket? Could have an 80-mile conveyor belt attached. :frown:

Goodness, would you have a look at that.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

I would ask if church-based food pantries are having to pick up the food bill for the poors as well, but everyone knows that people in Lawrence don't really go to church that much.

I know we all laugh at poverty stricken areas like Lawrence, but it's a pretty big problem in America right now.  Makes you really thankful.

It's just hard to believe that so much poverty exists just down the highway.  Eye opening.

Ames, State College and Corn Valley (Corvallis) should not be on that list.
