For the life of me I can't understand what's so great about being off the grid but this is ridiculous.

You can't really be off the grid while living within city limits.

The sewage I would be a little concerned about, but as far as power/water go, why would you actually mess with any of the lines?  Won't they just shut that stuff of anyway if you don't pay to get it activated?
